Habitat Coffee!

Highlight for this weekend! Finally finally got to try Habitat Coffee after hearing about how good it is from some of the church girls! And reading about their truffle fries and how it falls under ladyironchef's list of Best Truffle Fries in Singapore :)

(Quick and lazy editing. All shot by iPhone 4. I'm still a noob when it comes to these stuff, so it's merely a weak attempt at these photos. Don't judge okay, all ye photography enthusiasts!)

Went there with the guy whose plans with other guys got cancelled thanks to the heavy rain this afternoon. I'm being selfish but I'm secretly glad cos', hey, that means he has time to eat with me! So yes, made rather impromptu plans during that late afternoon to settle for dinner with him, not too far from home, and I seized the opportunity to make him try Habitat with me. :)

First we saw the queue at Fat Boy's, which was quite long, and started to wonder if the queue at Habitat would be this long too. Thankfully, much to our surprise, it wasn't! In fact it was quite empty and the staff appeared to be quite free.

Took some time to decide what to order and happened to decide on the food marked with an asterisk!

Ice Habitat Fusion Tea - Peach. $4.90 I think
 Normal peach tea...

:)
Edited at 2:20pm: Maybe it's a good thing that my camera's not that fantastic. So that you can't scrutinise the girls behind. Ha ha ha. Too bad! :P

Hazelnut Coffee (Regular) - $4.90
This one, I should have ordered much later because I only really drank it after I finished the mains. Would have enjoyed it a lot more if it was hot! Wanna try the Iced Latte the next time I'm there, cos' they're supposed to be known for their coffee and truffle fries. That's next.

Hello Truffle Fries - $8
ABSOLUTELY YUMMY!!!! Maybe it's because this is only the 2nd time I had truffle fries. It sounds a little absurd to pay $8 for fries but it's already one of the cheapest out of the ladyironchef's list of recommendations and it's tasty, so I shan't complain! Definitely must order again ;)

Cheesynara - $16
Wen Ming ordered this. Cream pasta served up with chicken cheese sausage and fresh bacon. I tried 2 mouthfuls and thought this was okayyyyyyyyy. Expected more cos' it's a chef's recommendation! Mingz prefers my main course though, which made me more satisfied with mine :) Below.

The Big Ben - $13 if I remember correctly
Scrambled egg benedict on English fluff, chicken swiss cheese sausage, grilled tomato and mashed potatoes. I loved every single thing on my plate and cleaned everything up! 'Nuff said. Glad Mingzzz said to order this cos' I couldn't decide initially! Hearty breakfast for dinner. Does this even make sense?

Wanted to try the cakes too but was too full from dinner :(

Habitat Coffee's a nice place to chill especially on nights where it isn't crowded! We sat there and talked for quite a long time; 2 other couples came later and left earlier than us :/ But whatever. Still glad we went there for dinner! It's one of the cheaper cafes already, all of the above added to about $48.

Afterwards, we walked back to Marymount MRT station, where I set off for hall and the date went home, after deliberately missing 2 trains each. Would have wanted ice-cream if he wasn't having a sore throat! Time to call it a day and sleeeeeep. Hello to recess week and revision! Praying for discipline, focus, a clear mind, and energy to study and NOT BE DISTRACTED. This is very important, or I really will regret.
