had camp on friday... we slapt with the mosquitos in the basketball court. :D yesterday morning, we went to buy our own breakfast and dinner (raw food). and we went to pulau ubin!!! the boat ride was a shaky one.. uP aNd DoWn AnD AlMoSt PuKeD. we had a race around ubin, walking for 5 hours. i wonder how many kilometers that was... and we walked with our bags. with two 1.5 litres of water, 1 set of clothes (and we didn't even bathe. there was no water, no electricity, and the toilets.. can't flush.. stinks worse than garbage)cooked dinner. dug a hole, put the fuel thing, some dried leaves and sticks. boiled the water and........... maggie mee curry flavour with eggs and canned peanuts!!!! sounds gross but it was nice --no-- delicious!
after dinner, it was worship and we sang a birthday song to grace queck. after that it was time for our night [mini] hike.. where we had to leave group by group and with only ONE torch per group. the whole place was pitch dark. they were saying that we should only see 1 house. if more than that.... might be some ghost house.. freaky eh? but none of us did lah.. my group sang our way to our destination, a little hut where beatrice and elizabeth and dunno who else were there. oh yah... we were walking halfway when the torch suddenly died. and cheryl went "oh shit..." but thank God the light went on again. :) and we (groups 1, 2, and 3) walked back, being led by ivan. reached the beach, waited for the other 2 groups with "cute" lil' mosquitos, and tied our legs together. we were going to walk to the sand and DIG snacks up. my group couldn't find anything at first. we got to the end. one of the other groups told the leaders that one particular spot had nothing at all. they dug a bit. cherly and i were watching the, dig...then we saw a little red plastic thing. the leaders tried to quickly burry it but haha.. too late, we [cheryl, me] already saw it.diggydiggy. and we found not one, but 4 packets of biscuits. nice right.
and then it was time to sleep. we (denise, dorita, clarissa, cheryl, janice, me) needed to pee. and the toilet stunk like anything. we did it outside the toilet. with dorita guarding for us first. 1, 2, 3... and pull down our pants and ppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...... disgusting. totally. really. there was no other choice. yah.. then we talked. about stuff. and how the xinmin gb girls were like. yuying girls better. and how andrew got bullied and never complained. speaking of andrew, his laughter, or trademark laugh, is scary. so scary that it makes everyone laugh. even funnier than mah kar mun's laughter.
this morning. we didn't even brush our teeth, we had to pack up and go back. so we walked back to the jetty, reached church at around 10am. had brunch, and i went to brush me teeth. before worship.. haha was so funny.. boony asked us to say to each other "you smell good today!" kara and i wanted to give jia yan and isabelle a hug.. and the reasone was.... because we didn't bathe for more than 24 hours!! hahaha.
didn't know whether to go for cell bonding or not. kenneth was not around (as usual), wan hui not around, ivan has an exam to sit for tomorrow. we wanted to go to zach's house, but he couldn't contact his mother, so can't. anyway the few of us [clarissa, andrew, darryl, me] were too smelly.. heehee.
overall, though tiring, i enjoyed the camp. really. a good time of bonding also. OH YES i must talk about this. last night right, because my things were at the table and bench.. i went to take my stuff.. and i didn't know that eugene was sleeping there with his arm stretched out.. and i thought it was my water bottle and.. yah!.. and i took it and realised it was someone's skin! so blur....
