That's it.
Gone. 10 years of education at PLMGS.
That's the end of our daily morning assembly with devotion and singspiration, announcements and silent reading. And of course the times when we had to stand and sit so many times.
I don't have to visit the General Office every morning to write my name in that small book anymore, because I don't have an EZ-link card and am thus unable to clock in via the electronic system thingy. Mdm Toh and Ms Orin (receptionists) can still see me everyday as long as they don't take down the school mission and vision thing in the office, cos' got my face there (handbell syf team treblers 07)
Daily routine? Not anymore.
We got our report books on Thursday. My music marks were entered wrongly, thanks to Mr Ng. Mrs Ong very kindly stayed back to make amendments to it, got Mrs Lee to acknowledge it, and returned it to me at 5 plus. My percentage and class position went up by one mark/notch. Had OLM bonding again at Compass Point.
Is the school biased? Many would say yes.
I'm not making my stand here because this is the Internet, the WWW.. once a teacher finds out and reports it, I'll risk having my testimonial forfeited.
Example 1: only photographs of the GwH music groups this year were featured in the General Office this year, among many others such as the debate team and..?
Example 2: Founder's Day service. The school announced that the sec 4E/5N had the privilege of sitting in the concert hall for the service (for obvious reasons). On the day itself, they told the supposedly stupider classes that they were to sit at the canteen to make way for guests. The affected classes voiced their displeasure, only to be turned away flatly. [they had the sense to shift everyone back to the concert hall in the end. though they didn't see the tears shed when we were chased down to the canteen/basement. don't the teachers know how much this service will means to graduating students?]
I think I'm going to sit on the fence.
