which left us hanging

Assume it's Friday.
(by right.. it is 2am on a sat)

4c2 is FINALLY more focused on school work... compared to last year.
I feel like slapping myself real hard for the results.
Remember, we had geog, SS and music test on thursday?
I studied my brains out for the 1st 2, never touch music at all.
And I falied them. Shit(ty) humanities.
Spotted Singapore for SS but Britain came out instead, so that murdered me to the core.
But the core is still intact and that explains why I'm still alive and kicking --
Kicking my ass for not studying Britain.
And geography..
Why did I even write about birth rates lah.
So many people scored well and here I am failing ALL the assignments and the common test itself...
Worse that physical geog lor.
So damn discouraged and disappointed with myself.
You should have seen the number of "what, you failed geog?!" faces when I told them my results. (they asked for it) That makes things worse.

Music however, was an A1... to think that I only studied it right before the test.
I scored this one because, of God's grace.

Ms *** has yet to return us our maths paper.
She said half the class failed, and there's a 99.999999% chance that I'm one of them.
Still got 0.000001% chance of passing.
If I do...
I'll bite my toe. And replace my holey socks.

Hello.
Please give me some motivational talks.

[i need to come back to the heart of worship. back to basics]

some results

I really oughta be in bed now.

But then again, it's not a bad idea to sleep during live/life (?) lesson right?
heh heh.

My Chinese tutor is going to make me do something crazy.
She thinks it's a good idea.
But I don't!!!
It'll be so odd la... How, what should I do now??
I'll be alone in an unfamiliar place.
Unless... ... ... which I don't think ... ... ...
It's still weird larrr! Uragharawwwwww.
Help help help..!

Ok, Ms Poon returned our English papers today, and guess what?
I failed my compre.
22/50. Well I kinda expected it... couldn't really answer the questions.
And didn't have enough time to do the dang summary.
I must buck up! Can't depend on compos (narrative: 20/30) and report/letter writing (20/30 too) all the time...
So this term's grade is like, C5?? No improvement.
To think that I'm not in the bottom 10. Wow. Incredible.
Ms Poon's class some more. I thought I'd be the 2nd or 3rd
from the last la duh.

Tomorrow is arts day for me...
actually it's today. Later, to be exact.
Geog results, elec lit results, and music results!!!
I seriously hope I got my distinction for music.... pls pls pls pls
Since I thought that the music paper was quite manageable.
Lit- interpreted it wrongly so there goes my marks.
Geog- I honestly have no idea. At least a pass?? Or a 3 or 4?
All that suspense is killing me O_O

I want to see how badly I did for chem and bio and ss (this one is confirm fail) and chinese and E MATHS and POA.
I have a feeling everything's screwed leh!
Better stop using the word "screwed"!
I'll pass with soaring colours man.
(ha, ha, ha, happy dreaming joyce!)

PMS-ing. Either that, or I'm getting emotional.

I wanted to give moral support... but was kinda misunderstood.

Was I at the wrong place at the wrong time?

Misunderstood is the word.

Or am I just being paranoid?

I don't think so.

Oh wells.

I can only hope for the best.

Didn't expect the day's events to turn out like ... that.

It just had to add on to my already crappified mood.

haha.

I screwed both bio and chem papers today.

=( and I'll get a 5 or 6 for O's if I don't start working hard...

Science tuition! Riiiight.

No money no talk.

I talked to Wen Xin today. Yay.

Sighhhhhhhh

I miss my seniors.

(it's random talk, this post. pardon the mood.)

when everything goes downhill

yesterday:

Was late for worship prac, which was supposed to be at 10am.
Yeah, freaking early.
But that's cos' some needed to do worship for the wedding in the afternoon also.

Youth Ablaze.. ok la. Just an ok.
I need that spiritual zest man.
Cell was terribly quiet, the atmosphere was crap.
But it's good in the sense that there was time for me to reflect.
And pray a bit.
I didn't feel that good also cos' of the worship debrief earlier..
The worship (unfortunately) was quite screwed up. Technically.
Instrumental part for one of the songs went off, veh messy. Lol.
So back to the cell part, I was quite overwhelmed with (insert word here), and realised I have a lot of struggles...
What Sharon and Wan Hui said applies to me too.
Not just Clarissa and Jacelyn who posted the questions.

Dinner at uncle Roy and auntie Ee Koon's house was pretty...
boring.
Their neighbour had lion dance, so noisy la.
Reminded me of our E maths test on friday, come and dong dong qiang and interrupt everyone's train of silent calculations.

Today:

(better make this quick, gotta go back to my books! bio and chem test tmr. aaaaarghhwrh)

Chinese tuition. Urgh no comments.
That's partly the cause of ......

Didn't go for service =(

Went to Tan Tock Seng Hospital with Jacelyn Kai Wei and others (Poh Cher Joelynne Keng Ling Jia Jun Joshua Tan) to visit Smarties...
Bought some stuff for him and the cab fare was quite a lot.
There goes my money.. Haha. At least we made someone happy.
Travelling time (to and from) was close to 2 hours pls..
Got a huge scolding from my dad over the phone, for taking too long.
Not my fault wad, public transport..
Then I go all the way there, he expects me to just stay for 10-15mins?!?!
Whatever man...
I didn't really care anyway.

Yeah so.
I wonder... how Smarts can still be so calm and cheerful even when he knows he's going for surgery the next day. Tomorrow lor.
I'm amazed.
He must be hiding his anxiety. (How can anyone not be anxious?)
Or if you look at it in another way...
This is how God works.
His arm looks really bad. Dunno how he's gonna play the drums and sports and all that next time...
Well at least we know that God has planned everything already.
So just have faith. Yupps.

Apologies to Joey and my math tutor.............
There wasn't enough time, so had to postpone.
Sorry sorry =(

To make matters worse,
I came home only to face the cane. That's another story altogether.
It's a 15-year-old's nightmare.

get well soons

Wah, I think my friends are unlucky.
To make it sound more awful, you're unlucky if you're my friend.
Why do I say so?

Last Wednesday, Lai Theng sprained her ankle during PE.
She fell. And was absent on Thursday.
And need to go for some therapy.
Looks quite bad.

Today, Smarties fell and broke his arm.
Pray hard he doesn't need to go for surgery!!
And WTH, he finds TTSH "very comfortable" and has "good food". -__-'''
Worse than Lai Theng.

Wow man.

...

Mr Fong reads our blogs!!
Because he said he has nothing to do, very free, so he went to google "pl handbell blog".
Obviously mine appeared there la, 4th one some more. (!!!!)
But I have nothing to fear la.. Never say anything negative about the group.
So far 95% of my handbell-related posts are like,
I LOVE HANDBELLS
this kind. So yeah.
Hello Mr Fong and juniors (if you even bothered to google it)

SYF, gold with honours, our stunning prize, here we come!!

...

Eh, you. Yes you. The private blog keepers.
WHERE IN THIS BLOG HINTS THAT I'M ATTATCHED?
Where got where got where got!
Don't have lor, I'm not "act innocent"!
And don't anyhow say things hor!

some life

Hello.
At this moment, I feel as if we're about to sit for a major exam in less than 12 hours' time.
I think it's just me lah.
It's so scary!!!
Common tests have never seemed like exams to me!
The pile of books and stacks of paper are screaming out,
"READ ME"
oh my goodness so freaky!
Pure geog SS music tests! Never felt so nervous over common tests before lor!

Ok, my CNY was kinda boring.
I was staring at the TV, or reading up on the Marriane Chong book which I brought along with me (it's called Aspects Of Human Geography by the way. Since when did the author's name replace the title??), or sleeping. ZZZzzzz
Many people didn't turn up for Sunday's combined service..
I went with Jacelyn.
It's only right that we honour our God by going to church and 拜年 first thing in the morning.
After all, He is the King of kings and we ought to go to Him first right.

Yesterday was slightly more interesting though.
Visitors come, I take "refuge" outside. Haha.
Went to Fiona's house to 拜年, sit around, talk...
With Xi Ying, En Mei and Joyce Lee.
Then all of them came over to my house to 拜年.
That's when I saw En Mei's true colours. SHE REALLY CAN EAT.
All of us were like busy chatting away, and she just sat there concentrating on her food. This girl, best.
然后,Fiona and her sis had to go for some dinner, so all of us marched to Xi Ying's house.
Badminton! Lol. I seriously never play for a long time liao.
And of course to 拜年 la.
The badminton thing was super cartoon. Scream here scream there.
J Lee had to go, so bye bye lor. My new "twin". =D
Ahahaha. AND THEN. EM XY and I attempted to study.
With all the CNY goodies and the bottle of coke on the table.
Ok, I did absorb SS stuff.
En Mei's face showed 2 words, "I'M HUNGRY".
So whatever food I took out from the container, I'd take an extra one and put in front of her.
Each time, she would shake her head, refusing to eat.
HAHA. The cornflake cookies and the choco thingy were holding signs like "EAT ME".
It was only a matter of time before she gave in to temptation and took the delicate piece of, uhm, food (-.-) and put it into her mouth.
Xi Ying was laughing away.
So yes, believe it or not, that's the climax of my CNY.

If I had a chance to nominate bloggers with 'the most inspirational blog' award, the nominees would be (in random order):
1. Elizabeth Thia
2. Melvin Goh
3. Joanne Foo
4. Lynn Ern

I bolded their names cos' they update quite regularly, and I'm almost always inspired and impressed by their posts.

Lai Theng, get well soon!!!!

tag replies
[sop] haha, welcome! collected lots of $$$?
[jace] that's the whole point, i don't want ppl to read the content, so i blog in CL. =P
[fish!] very disturbing meh?! i finally found out why i couldn't type chinese characters earlier! so just play around with it lor.
[xiying] yeah, i don't mind! today's study session was rather productive, yes? not bad not bad. there was the presence of edible stuff but it dind't really affect our revision.

恭喜发财!

Read this! It's crappy Chinese so it's easy to understand. I know most people's reactions will be, "wah, one whole chunk of cheena words! forget it, i'm not reading." But this is my first attempt to blog in mandarin.. I'm hoping it's not too 'rubbishy'.

你好!
时光飞逝,新的一年又到了!我很想穿新衣 =P
And i can't wait to get my 红包!

当然,我知道valentine's day in our school is when we express our love for our friends (sounds wrong) by showering them with gifts.
But we love them every other day =)

Our batch (the 1991 ppl) have been through all the primary and secondary school renovations/PRIME projects.
So have some sec 5s '07 and retainees.
Remember the old primary school building... damn old.
We were only in P1/2 then.
After that they renovated it and we said hello to the NOISE.
I can still remember the bridge thingy which links the two blocks together!
We would go there and stamp our foot. Haha.
So we got to study in the old and new school building.

Then most of us went to PL sec after our PSLEs,
it was the old building then. With the museum and all.
We spent our sec 2 and 3 life over at PL Kadesh, then back to our promised land at Lorong Ah Soo.
So that's PL pri old and new, PL sec then the holding sch then the current new one.
I suck when it comes to expressing all these in words la.

嘿,向往过去的感情..

我用了一个小时把这个 blogpost 打出来!

PL has sporty talents also lor, I think the school's a little biased.

I watched Jillian and Su Ann compete with the table tennis peeps from Anglican High last Friday, and screamed with the others who came to support and watch the match.
I thought they were going to lose la, thank God they didn't.
Couldn't stay to watch cos' of CCA.

Today, Wen Yi and I went to watch the table tennis girls again.
First one was this nerd-looking girl, by the name of i-dunno-what, and her opponent was just power la!
I have no idea which school, just support PL! Lols.
Kept on smacking and attacking and aiming for the corner, in the end she kept missing the other half of the table.
Aiyah, I dunno how to describe la.
But yeah that one got my pulse racing.
Adrenal glands also released a lot of adrenaline, she looked so close to losing!!
Means she won.
The next one was dunno who and who compete with who and who, they looked quite okay.
Just got the feeling that they'll win and so they did. Haha.
Not as tensed as Jill and Su's though.
Then the next one, ah this time I know who.
Candice against some girl... so obvious who would win lor.
The first round was 11-1!!!!
Candice is just, wowwwwwwww.
I'm speaking from a sports idiot's point of view, also from one who HAD no interest in watching this kind of matches.
PL is so blessed in the area of sports.

I failed my geography assignment.

I kena-ed from Ms *** during maths today cos' I forgot to get my test paper signed and handed in.
Not fair lor, Candice also never hand in!!
She picked PQ Hannah and I out.. we're from 4c2.
Then 4c1 never mention anyone. Hmph.
at least she didn't sit and squash me.
After that she did the introduction to the new chapter...
and introduced her favourite cartoon character ("childhood memories" again)
DORAEMON.
(pronounced doh-ree-mon or doh-ray-mon or?? hers is "doh-rai-mon")
She went on about how it took out bread from its magic pocket to 'photostat' the pages of the textbook, then when the boy ate it he would remember all his stuff.
Wth???
If you did that for every page, you'll be so super overweight and confined to your bed la pls!
So lame, but we had a good laugh.
No link please. HAHA.

Desiree came for out practice today! =)))))
Thank you so much for helping us with the design of the costume!

Out of all the handbell rules, I like the respect one best.
It says "respect seniors and teachers".
I believe that includes "don't try to 'overpower' them".
But yeah anyway, this is good because juniors can warn me of peg monsters in the room.
I DON'T LIKE TO BE PEGGED.
STOP PEGGING MY HAIR PINAFORE COLLAR POCKET HORRRRR.
THE PEGS ARE MEANT FOR THE SCORES, NOT PUT ON PEOPLE.
You flaccid lazy pig. Wahahahs.

?

Honestly, I've never spent SO much money before!
Without my parents some more!
But I feel quite satisfied.. flats, fake berks, 2 skirts, 2 tops, a sb and a dress.
Bought a dress last month and a skirt last afternoon.
(joyce you think you very rich is it...)
But but but I hardly shop!

Hui Ling is THE BEST.
Take SOOO much time in front of the mirror in the fitting room,
"aiyah should I buy this..."
And she ended up buying 2 shirts which she didn't even try -.-!!!!
Girl ah, since you like tree trunks so much, why not you go and stay in the forest?

I owe Man Ling $3.90!
Rawrhh. Get the black one!
Then we can wear the same design out. Haha, and make Ling Ying aka the flaccid pig buy the pink/purple one.

How ah how ar??
Whether to get bio/chem tuition from Rasmus/Rastus????
If they have acids and salts and carbonates and alkalis and bunsen burners and basically everything you find in a science lab, it'll be a definite yes.
But my science theory is getting quite shitty...

Tuesday, February 06, 2007

The day went on pretty well.

I got 6 missed calls (had piano lesson) from the same person who gave me 5 missed calls the other time.
Wahlau, not like it's an emergency right!
Wahahahs.
The next time it'll be 7.

SS quiz was fun, as in really quiz and not "quiz" which end up like tests.
Aahhhh. haha
With Sheila Tania and Madeline, the brains.

English lesson was, watching En-Ci and Vanessa debate over the cycling tracks and fruit trees and cars run on hydrogen etc etc.
Laughing session.

Our Chinese class (the lousiest, Mrs Tan HH's) is damn funny.
Another laughing session sia.
It's like, we can't read for nuts.
Mrs Tan attempted to make us to take turns to read, one person one sentence.
But it's like totally CMI. Cannot Make It. So she gave up.
Now we read as a class.
Correction: "read", lol!
When we read together, we'll stop at the same word, cos' all of us dunno how to read that same word!
Otherwise we'll read in unison, then shoot off in 'different directions', reading at our individual pace(s?). Sounding like this,
"Rr rha erreierrrr ralrrrr *mumble mumble*.. erer rhhe ueekww HAHAHAH"
Ok, maybe I'm the only one laughing, because the actuall thing when heard just makes me wanna laugh my butt off the chair!
Then lao shi will go,
"ni men shi zen yang du de ah? cong xin zai du!"
(is that how you read? read it again!)
And the whole scene repeats itself.

I failed badly for the previous 2 bio quizzez (single digit) so I made sure I scored full marks for todays quiz, and I did!
Whooooo.
But it won't help much cos' the other 2 quizzes are still crap.

And then the POA, my hard work paid off.
All glory to God =)
Though I can honestly say that I didn't mug as hard as Sheila.
Only digested a bit the night before, then sat for the test feeling as anxious as everyone else.

then went handbell prac... but looks more like PE lesson. cos three of us locked ly n ethel outside the handbell rm! then after tt bored liao. unlocked let them in.... and joyce n i ended up being "punished" by them.... they tickled us non-stop till we both roll on the floor like dog like tt.... then joyce n i put pegs all over ly, she dun even noe la! until very very long......... then she realised lol. so overall jus play n play n still play....

From Man Ling's blog. (above)
Haha, those 2 are flaccid! Got so much strength to tickle us until like that!
Sure kena from Ling Ying tomorrow cos' I put a peg on her hair...

The fun and laughter we have during handbell practices..
Treasue it cos' we only have about 3-4 months left before we step down and stop CCA.
I SO love handbells.
Thanks so much, to the 2 "repairmen" who helped me collect my dictionary from Creative@PS, and delivering it to my doorstep!
Excellent service sia.
All for the price of $0.
No la, it's friendship =)

Dunno why I just felt like blogging about today...

competitivity (?!)

Blessed sweet 16th Priscilla!
We may not be in the same level and class now, but I still love you!
Please overcome your fear of cockroaches! Or I'll get lotsa xiao qiang pics and torment you with it!

I have one new fear:
Washing my hair.
Damn unusual right?

Because it's then that I see lots of loose hair, and I'm dropping hair like nobody's business!
Freaky!
Like, I massage my scalp, ... then I look at my hands.
HAIR. Oh no la.
How. I'm either getting cancer (haha) or balding or getting old!

Causes:
1. Stress
2. Too much MSG from cup noodles

Effects:
SEE MY HAIR ON THE BATHROOM FLOOR

Solutions:
1. Sleep more???
2. Cut down on cut noodles and eat in the canteen

Ethel and Ling Ying forced me to accompany them to eat cup noodles after handbells!
Stupid LAHHHHh.
Obviously I got tempted and ate one (big) bowl also!
Which is the 3rd one this week... super OMG.
I've gotta cut down man.
After that I bought Crunch ice cream.
And the whole chocolatey thing dropped on the floor.
Waste my money sia.
Then I felt SO full. Getting fat soon. (yah I wish)

Skipped lunch today =( I didn't have a choice!
Mrs Loo made me do my chem practical during the 2nd break at 1.20pm.
No lunch! Missed SS and chem practical! =((
I rushed off to NDC (National Dental Centre) like mad, thank God I was still on time.
After tightening the braces, I couldn't eat. Duh.
So rushed back to school for bells, and was only a few minutes late.
Everything went just as planned. Except for the no lunch part.

I am proud to say that we the handbellers of PLMGS(Sec) have completed both our SYF pieces!
We have up to April to make minor changes and polish up some messy parts.

Dear Lord Jeus we want to commit PL handbells to You, thank You for seeing us through all our practices and performances all these years Lord. We thank You especially for the Gold with Honours award 2 years ago. Father we see your work through the many talents in PL's aesthetic CCAs, and we ask Lord that You'll give the Handbellers another Gold with Honours, to maintain the standard the previous batch has set for us, to bring glory to Your name and the school, to stand out from other competing schools like SCGS, MGS and RGS. Thank You for a wonderful but scary instructor like Mr Fong, we know that You sent him to coach both PL primary and secondary schools, for enabling him to fly to and from Hong Kong every week just to coach us. We pray that the bond between the handbellers will be stronger than ever, so when we play our pieces Lord we play them as one, not in secions but one complete ensemble. We pray also for enthusiasm, commitment and good health at least until the SYF day. Thank You Daddy for your constant showers of blessings upon PL's performing arts groups, especially for the Handbell Choir Lord. We pray all these in the name of Jesus, AMEN!

And we will get the Gold. With honours =D

Oh AND and and,
Ms Kok was soooooooo proud of our maths class (4c1), I think we broke our own record.
For the first time since last year, THE WHOLE CLASS PASSED THE CLASS TEST!
With 80% distinctions. She was like, smiling so much and kept praising us.
I got a B4, reaching my target soon =)
I could have gotten an A la, if not because my brain wasn't working, drew the entire graph wrongly, so for that graph question I only got 1 mark for the labelling of axis -_-
Anyway, praise the Lord! Wheeeeeee~

titled untitled

Dear God I must confess
That sometimes You seem far away
And sometimes I forget about
how I stand because of grace
But Lord, there's been a change in me
A change I hope will stay
For this is my prayer today:

Jesus I am coming here today
I'm leaving all I have behind
To kneel right at Your place
I'm giving all I am to You
To honour You in all I do
I'm returning to be where You want me to

Take your place, O Lord, take Your place
Be Lord of my life once again
Let your will be done, let Your will be done
Reign in my life once again

Jesus I am coming here today
I'm letting go of all my plans
To trust and lean on You
I'm seeking now for more of You
To know You and to learn from You
I'm running to be where You want me to

Lord draw me near to where You are
Lead me to Your holy presence
I don't want to be kept afar, Lord
Draw me near
Come reign in this life once again

Take Your place, O Lord, take Your place
Be Lord of my life once again
Let Your will be done, let Your will be done
Reign in my life once again
Reign in my life once again

Copyrighted. Music and lyrics by Boon Yeow.

My walk with God is a little dry... this whole song just fits so perfectly.
I so need Him in my life.

I'm glad I went for the service last Sunday, sermon was good.
Almost the whole thing related to me. And I think God spoke through that. A bit.

I have some thank yous to make here, they made my day despite the drama both during and after school today:
Lai Theng (for all that advice and kind words), Simon (the msn convo was v reassuring), Sara and Melody (for just being there), Sharon Pei Qi and Hannah (who made all the difference), the usual sec 4 handbellers Man Ling Hui Ling Ling Ying and Ethel (who never fail to make me laugh), Xi Ying and Fiona, and of course my dear partner Sheila...

Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Matthew 7:1-2

I can't seem to memorise this verse! While some people can recite it like the national pledge!
Why why why! That's a simple reminder for us not to judge, so it's important to memorise it.

And the answer to Rastus' dumb question in the previous post is..
Q: what do you get when you squash a bee?
A: Beauty. cos' beauty lies in the eyes hands of the bee-holder (beholder)

That's ULTRA lame.

uh, i think we're in the same boat...

tis' the season to be jolly

Firstly,

YOU. MY MAID COMPLAINED THAT YOU ALWAYS SHOUT OUTSIDE MY HOUSE. (it's true anw) VERY SOON THE WHOLE BLOCK WILL COMPLAIN LA, SO, SHHHHHHH!!! No need to announce that you're saying bye or hello to me -_-
you know who you are hor...

Rastus told us this stupid joke. Or should I say, riddle..

"What do you get when you squash a bee?"

The answer is NOT honey, which is the most common answer. Think out of the box!

Happy belated 16th birthday, Pei Qi,
and happy birthday (16th too) Andrew

SYFSYFSYFSYFSYFSYFSYFSYFSYFSYFSYF
GoldWithHonours GoldWithHonours GwH
That's what I'm reminded of when I step into the school.
Funny. Why ah??
Another thing I'm reminded of is...
it's our last year in PL.
=(

my beloved school

In long,
I live PL, I breathe PL, I eat PL (wth???!)
When Mrs LKC was still principal of PL primary, there was a hair rule: cannot keep long hair.
It was the same for the secondary school.
I was only in primary one then, and that school rule didn't really matter to me because my parents did not allow me to have my hair kept long.
Whatever.
I miss my 1998 P5 buddy... whom I 'abandoned' by not waiting for her to come to class to 'pick' me up for recess. Haha.
I miss primary school days... 6 years of PL flew past just like that, and it didn't bother me, for I knew I was going to PL sec.
With a shittified score of 214, still go where?
So I put PL as my first choice and here I am...
Hello.
I hated school for the amount of pressure they put on us, sitting on us, squashing homewok onto us, and the countless handbell practices and remedials and, blah.
Now that there's only a few months left...
I wanna cry lah. I love PL. I don't wanna leave.
Can I retain?
That's a terribly stupid thing to ask.
Anyway.. I'm enjoying school now even though the teachers keep talking about O'levels.
Enjoy while we still can. Cos' very soon, we're going to say bye.
10 years of chapel sessions, singing songs, caring teachers, taking the same busses, same route, same track and field-turned-netball-court, same school song, same blouse white belt pinafore pe shirt pe shorts, thanksgiving services, and who can forget ---> girls. same faces. See some of these faces for TEN YEARS.

In short,
PL is my life and my second home.

There's bound to have ungracious PL lites who are nuisances(?) in public, talking so loudly they think they own the place, some bad attitutes and the never-ending trail of (lesbian) rumours.
That's the minority.
Most of the time, the public will judge a school based on that minority of pupils.
Oh. They have coloured hair. The school has no discipline.
Crap.

Unlike most people, I sing my national and school anthem. Softly though.
Cos' wherever I'm standing, it always seems like nobody is singing.

The school is strict with her rules, but she knows where to draw her lines.
No dyeing, perming or highlighting of hair; hair must be of a natural colour.
Since when has anyone with naturally brown hair been humiliated in front of the school?
As far as I know, I've not seen any.
And note that I'm a kaypoh so that means something.

If it's a natural colour, then you go and dye it into.. say, black or something.
Then DUH you will get into trouble la!
Since you already have problems with the hair, why go and dye to make it worse?

I think everyone's at fault here.
The school: Teachers who know about her hair thingy like our discipline mistress should tell other teachers who has naturally non-black hair and who doesn't, to avoid stressing up the girl. Her pass should have been permenant and not renewable. (my opinion)
The mother: Why she go and dye her daughter's hair??? Why must she make a mountain out of a molehill by calling in the press? Take her daughter out of PL if she's sooooo unhappy then. Why let her stay.
The girl: hmm I don't seem to be able to find any fault? Ok, why did she allow her mum to have her name and face and the school's name published? But then again maybe she didn't have a choice...

Oh wells.
I hope she gets over this as soon as possible, then return to school.
She's still part of the PL family.
Her classmates are worried for her.

DUNGed

I need tuition, dangggit!

For science (biology & chemistry), music, accounts, english, physical geography!

WTH la. Like I can't understand bio?
Music is killing me.
So is POA.

Urghness. I can't possibly get tutors for every subject, cos' that means money. Now do I look like a rich kid? No.

Grade 8 piano is driving me all the way to Antartica. It's insanity.

Life is just plain screwed now la!

have been blogging at xanga.com/arpeggios fyi. drop a comment if you go there.

goodbye

[edited (to add) 1059pm, 13thJan]

They just had to regroup the vocalists. AGAIN. I've been in Team 1 ever since they started this grouping thing. So it's my 3rd year in Team 1. Saw people 'come' and 'go'. haha. This time I'm grouped with 2 others from PLMGS and 1 MGS. 3 cheers for the methodist schools.

I think I need to eat more papayas.

I've got the tune of the 1st movement stuck in my head.

There's going to be a gym in PL, I don't think I'll ever use it. Walking to school/home is good enough. Haha. That's if it doesn't rain.

Turnout for handbell auditions wasn't really good. Last year's was much much better. Now all the CCAs also need auditions, even the clubs and uniformed groups. I find it quite pointless la.

Please give us a nicer handbell costume! I can't wait to see the actual thing. As long as it doesn't look like the choir's. New costume = new colour = new eyeshadow = $$$$$. It'll be fun to have a new choker too.

Well, hello.

I'll be leaving this blog for awhile, and I'm not sure when I will return.
Sorry guys. Won't be replying your tags.

I'm still not sure whether I should drop Music or continue and take the O's, and then if I'm good enough, music A's.
It's stressful.

Oh and one more thing,
plagiarism annoys me. Lots.
Be it x or y.

the loner in me

Sorry, the pic is too big, so you will have to tilt your heads a little.

Don't you just LOVE my class' timetable?
For those not in PL: CG means cell group. Blank means free time. Break 1 & 2 actually means recess and lunch. Pr means practical. R4 means sec 4s must run/jog, like morning jog. And we move to a different (homeroom?) classroom/lab for each lesson.
School starts at 7.20am and ends at 4.10pm on Mondays and Fridays.
(O'level) Music is on Thursdays.
Handbell on Wednesdays?????
Which leaves me with Tuesday afternoon for a short nap and then off for piano lesson.

Such is the life of a 2007 sec 4 PL-lite, some much worse than mine.

I suddenly got these thoughts...

What will happen if...
My fire for God is extinguished?
I backslide from church?
I lose interest in studies?
I find.. that life isn't worth living for?
I wake up to find that I have no friends? or,
My friends turn out to be monsters?

What a way to start the new year.

the empty space

This Fasion's clothes are so different from last time..
Half the shop changed its clothes.
Waah.
I overheard 2 people saying that it was good.

I make 6 happy, and leave 1 (impt one) disappointed.
Sigh, do I look like I have a choice?

got this feeling you're avoiding me...

when i am dry you fill my cup

in search for answers to her why's

I think I had more than 10 carrot sticks for breakfast.
Plus a huge cup of grass jelly.
So full sia. But actually can eat more one..
Fiona and Xi Ying ate so little!
Still waste the cup of 'lemon juice'!

I don't like the idea of home room in PL...
This year, with 3 banded subjects, a lot of time was wasted in between lessons.
Travelling time.
Not to mention teachers who drag lessons and 'eat' into the next period.
The next teacher becomes unhappy.
And they get angry when noisy people walk past the classroom.
The noise level increases next year, no doubt about that.
Whatever la... More time will be wasted too.
Important year some more.
But we should look at the bright side I guess...
Uhm, that we're different from other schools?

I went to church hoping to complete some chinese homework.
Ended up sleeping on the table for 1 hr -.-
Then woke up to write a quarter of the bao zhang bao dao thing.
Not very productive... went back at 6pm.

self-deceit... sums it all. the frustrations.. the doubts... seriously, what's the use of avoiding the truth? i'm sure this isn't pms. i'm not entering depression zone again, no. the situation gets downhill... here at my side. i don't know why i've been persevering. can i just say goodbye? some things/people are better off without me anyway. masks don't work all the time. make-up is temporary. so is this. i saw through it, but i'm not sure if i'm right. or am i just being paranoid? i am so confused. so, so confused and lost in thought. i wanna scream my frustrations out or bang out on the piano. but look at the time. haiz. i want answers... there are loads more question marks trapped inside me, but the lack of privacy does not permit me to go on. can i cry out? but how can crying help? (if anyone's intelligent enough to hilight the words and discovers this... my one request is for you to refrain from bringing this up. thanks for reading my blog anw.)
What a nice way to end the year. Absolutely... fabulous.

chiong ah!!!

Yes, it's the chionging season.
Rush homework lor, what else...
After helping with the music room stuff tomorrow, I will either go to the church's pantry to do homework, or go somewhere and do it with Sheevonne.

Lord Jesus, I've watched the news...
Please protect east Asia, east and southeast,
from natural disasters..
The people are suffering...

Tag replies
[ivan] haha, then good! don't flood!
[Janice] yeah yours is v sweeeeeeeet! =)
[smarties] haha yea i didn't expect that much also. thought only like 4 or 5.
[Shepherd] it's Aaron! that time i msged him for the QT thing he also didn't reply! haha.

twelve days of Christmas

This post is going to be long. Detailssss...
Pris please scroll all the way down, I've uploaded a picture specially for you.

First of all, thank you all for your smses and tags and testimonials and presents!!!
Who can forget the ULTIMATE...
Thank You Jesus for coming down as a human being..
To die so that we can have life everlasting...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS! =D

These are the presents I received this weekend..
Like woah thanks so much people!
This is a lot to me. Dunno about others.
Haha I don't care about others man.
And I super like the handmade ones...
Like the bib (Janice- that's frigging nice!), bracelet (Pris- it's on the dog so can't really see), green candle (Tim- it's lovellllly), "laminated" yellow thing (Smarties- not bad la hur), laminated picture of mushrooms (Kai Wei- he really drew and coloured it himself! but it's last min), straw thingy (Abigail- hidden somewhere in the pic lol.)

25th Dec, Monday

I was at Yu Ting's house yesterday morning for lunch, her parents cooked a lot of food...
But I could only stay for awhile, had to go down to Ang Mo Kio to meet the two.
I will give them their presents next year. Next week I mean. To Yu Ting, Jie Xin, Wen Qin.. haha.
This is Wen Qin's sister, Wen Qi -.-So cute.

So I took 25 towards Bedok and didn't know. Lame sia.
Then alighted halfway and crossed the road and cabbed there instead.
$5.90 ok so expensive. Still have extra charge $1.
Heartland area, wear until so nice a BIT weird ah...
Haha so, Tim was the last to reach. Nothing unusual =P
Sat down to drink, talk, open presents, talk, talk, take retard pics and said bye.
Already commented about their presents in h so there isn't a need to repeat..

Then at night I just wanted to stay at home la, my parents and sibs went to J8.
I thought they were going to watch Eragon so I didn't tag along.
But WALAUUUU, they watched NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM!
I so wanted to watch that ok!
And what made it worse was,
the bloggers seemed to have ganged up to watch it together!
Means so many people watched it and said it was nice somemore luh.
Make me jealous only. Lols. Why bloggers? Read blogs mah.

24th December, Sunday

Was late for the Christmas service!
10.30am leh. haha!
The sanctuary was packed!!
There were many salvations too... =)
Managed to give out all the presents except for ANDREW's. hah.
Then lunched at Yoshi with Jace the monster and talked about her friends who came for LE...

Uncle Jimmy and family was at my house when I reached home.
I saw them in church, like so surprising. But glad they were there la.
Then his family and mine went to Vivo to meet up with others, uncles Harry Frankie David and Charles.
All my dad's ex-classmates. Haha.
(hey current friends, we must also have gathering like that 10-20 years down the road ok. wahahahs. all the families)
By the time everybody came it was 9 plus already la.
Late late late.
I hate to admit this.. I forgot the names of uncle David's kids. (fine it's 2 teens 1 kid)
I know his wife is auntie Janet. But so pai seh I didn't even dare to ask for their names la!!!
Their eldest daughter is 3-4 years older than me i think.. and she was at LSBC's Love Letter. And she saw me and I saw her but we didn't recognise each other -.- she was invited by a classmate, I forgot to ask who. Darn.
So anyway. 6 families. Super big group making lots of noise.
Sat around and chit-chat while I stoned with some others.
Childhood friends, yes, but Ronnie and I aren't talking and I dunno why. Lol.
He's 16, and he's like not talking to the others also?? I think.
Whatever la. Don't talk lor. Haha. I also don't want to initiate cos' there's nothing to talk about.
His younger sisters are very attatched to me though.. P6 and P5.

Did a lot of catching up with Shi Ling (sec 2).
We actually have alot in common haha..
So basically I just talked to her for the entire night la.

Vivo was so damn PACKED ok...
Like wowness sia.
We happened to be outside, near the sea there when midnight struck.
People sprayed the foamy stuff from 3rd floor lor.
So-called SNOW. Which has caused alot of unhappiness, if you watched the news.
Crowded like anything. I bet the orchard area was worse.

My phone ran out of battery halfway, so when I got it charged,
woah the smses just started coming in. Hahah. Slept at 4am i think.

23rd December, Saturday

Love Letter was great! The musical was superb.
The cast, dancers and behind-the-scenes people put in lots of effort.
Most importantly, God was there on Saturday and there was a number of salvations!
Same as Sunday! Praise God can...
Thank Him for giving us good weather.
And that it wasn't like last year, I didn't see anyone walk out when Melvin went to take over the mic.
Joshua's birthday card was quite rushed cos' I suddenly remembered it was in my bag... supposed to let the cell sign it. hah.
Oh oh and I'm SO glad Xi Ying came!!! Although she only came for the service part..
Well she still made an effort to come and it's appreciated.

Back to the musical, you know I almost cried when I saw (Elizabeth) the mother crying for her son, and when the son Li Xiao Long (Nd) cried when he received the news that his mum's dead.
Because that shows God is always there for us, loving us like the mother but sometimes we just forget about Him and drift away.
Then He calls us back gently but we ignore Him. Just like Xiao Long.
Yet this wonderful God will never die like the mother did, and He is ever ready to forgive us if we repent.
Our God is a merciful and compassionate God! Say "amen".
We don't realise it but sometimes we are just like Xiao Long in the musical... failing to see how much God loves us.

As for the fiesta, our cell did the sausage and cheese booth with Jon Neo/John Ho's.
We rock can.
Haha. I took 2 pics of the people at work... Not very clear. If you see yourself there, tag! If you don't, just tag also! hahahaI was pretty sian, stand there and cut cheese for 1 hour. hahas.
Jacelyn washed almost all the stuff you know!
Thank you so much girl. Wahahah.
Thank everyone for making this event a success, and above all, thank God that He was present.
Haha I know la, God is always here. Still...

=) =) =) =) =) =) =)

Ok so TODAY, or rather, YESTERDAY, (26th dec)
woke up early to play the pieces from the Phantom of the Opera!
Yes my mummy bought the scores for me, like finally!!!!
Haha. I still need the grade 8 piano exam CD for year 2007-2008, but that's outta point.

Jammed with Priscilla and her friend Benaiah (drums), and his friend James (bass).
That James is super quiet and somewhat shy, omg worse than me leh!
Hahahahaha.
And he's a proooo. Haha. Though not as pro as some bassists I know of...
Benaiah is UNCLE DANIEL LIM's nephew! Super omg.
And he's Linus' cousin.
So according to him uncle Daniel is going to be the youth pastor. Hmmm.
He remembers Boon Yeow and Faith and Zach... O_O
Wow Singapore is really so small... it's scary...
Like uncle Daniel is his uncle, Alekx was Tim's ex-classmate and good friend, that uncle David's daughter's classmate is in our church (that's why she was there), my neighbour is an SI reject featured on TV, etc! I can't remember for now.
SINGAPORE IS SO SMALL AND COOL.
Weather's quite bad you know. ooh the rain has stopped! rejoice.

Yeah so we jammed at Fourtones which rarely had rooms available.
Surprisingly! Haha. Or maybe it's because we booked early.
The jam was. Hmm alright. A bit better than usual but still around 'ok'. heh.
I ended up as vocalist cos' the keyboard could not be heard and the other eguit amp wasn't working.
Dunno head or cabinet.
Walau I'm backup vocals wan lor then ask me to sing lead..
Anyway.
Could see some not v happy faces? hurh.
Wasn't able to do what I tell myself to do.
Play and sing for God. Haha. No feeling mah.
I hope the jam later with Smarties and George would be better...
Tried jamming with them once and it was not bad.

What am I doing, jamming and jamming and jamming.
Need more butter.

Haizzzz I think the Day is REALLY approaching.
Look what kind of present nature gave to Asia.
Earthquakes fires floods tsunami fog.
Yea a 1m tall tsunami might hit the Philippines.
It's just not right.
I watched the news with horror.
Oh wells, just hope everything's alright over at Thailand.
Please come home safely!
Reallllllllly have to thank God for protecting us...
Singapore is so small, anything could happen.
God gave us a good government who gave us a good drainage system..
A good everything actually. Which is constantly upgrading and improving.
We could have ended up like the Johor.
If not for the drain thing.
If not for God. hahah.

Look at the picture below and seeeeee, the dew points.
It was a lot more distinct when I saw them LIVE.
This was taken a few weeks back (from the car) when I went to JB.
Water vapour condenses when it reaches dew point, so there you have it.
Clouds with super distinct dew points.

Oh yeah. We live in Singapura.
RACISM IS NOT TOLERATED.
Thank you.

Omg this post is super long.
I took super long to type this too.

Ok now this is the picture.
THE photo.SORRY XIAO QIANG
You had to be killed.
You're just not welcome in my house you know.

we will respect your decision.. it will seem awkward at first, but after awhile, it will be ok. you better not keep it from Faith. tell her. have any probs, we're always here =)

grow up

Sometimes Lord I forget Your unconditional love, that which none can replace. I really want to draw closer to You as the days pass... the Day is approaching...

Oh Lord You’ve searched me,
You know my way;
Even when I fail You,
I know You love me.

Your holy presence
Surrounding me
In every season,
I know You love me;
I know You love me.

At the cross I bow my knee,
Where Your blood was shed for me,
There’s no greater love than this.
You have overcome the grave,
Your glory fills the highest place,
What can separate me now?

You go before me,
You shield my way,
Your hand upholds me;
I know You love me.

And when the earth fades,
Falls from my eyes,
And You stand before me,
I know You love me;
I know You love me.

You tore the veil, You made a way
When You said that it is done.

Did some homework with Janice today at macs..
Better than staying at home, cos' I know I won't do anything.
Haha.
Janice joined Joey and I for tuition!
Which was quite ok, lol.
Loo Yee couldn't be with us today cus' she was sick...
gaaaah.. get well soon my dear girl!
You have to play host to your friends tomorrow so better be around!
And so sorry Kai Wei, but I really couldn't accompany you.
No money. And I needed the time for piano...
It's getting tougher you see. Yeahs.

Simon's keeping me in suspense and I ain't liking it!
Hurry tell me...

You know the 9 o'clock show, bai wan bao?
It's getting more exciting. Hahah..
Must watch ok! [I want xiaobao and malu to be tgt!]
(-.- malu = road = embarrassing)
It's damn funny.

I've wasted six freaking bucks okay.
SIX. wth...
At least Xi Ying the Great is coming...
Six dollars gone just like that.

homework

Went to Priscilla's house today.
Was at popular before that, and I desperately looked around for a familiar face, cos' i lost my card and needed to borrow one.
When I saw George and Cheng Wee,
my light bulb lighted up -_-
BUT NEITHER HAD THE CARD! =(
So yeah, no discount lor.
And I owe Pris money.
And I also remember, I owe Tim 10 bucks.
Urgh I SO want the $150 from the Good Progress Award so that I can pay off my debts!!!!
But can't get it until school reopens.
Best lor, only 15 and I'm a potential target for loan sharks.
The good thing is,

I don't gamble or go to arcades =)

Funny how I get all tensed up when reminded of O'levels, yet no part of me has the urge to complete the damn homework.
Tomorrow.
It's tomorrow or never. This time, serious!
I NEED TO FINISH UP MY HOMEWORK!!!!!
Why did I agree to jam with Priscilla's friends hur.
I'm not that good with bass... they (pris and her friend, my new friend Benaiah) made a mistake la, asked wrong person.
Sigh when will I learn how to say "no"?

----
Since this person (-glares-) already blogged about it, why shouldn't I?
But I'm only commenting about one small part of it, and I'm not naming anyone.
Up to you if you want to reveal yourself haha.

SOME PEOPLE hor, (first time go to Ben & Jerry's,)
SHARE MIX AND MATCH WITH YOU STILL NO GOOD ARH.
STILL SIT THERE AND CHASE ME AND ASK ME TO HURRY UP.
Not my fault right! The person took awhile to scoop wad...
By right you being GUYS should be the one ordering and I should be sitting there lor!
(often heard at leadership camps,)
"where's the initiative???" hahahah.
At least after that SOMEONE went to take water and not me.
Lols.

Actually I still want to say more BUT, since it's public and SOME PEOPLE might not be happy, I'll stop here. Unless the SOME PEOPLE think I should blog it la. Wahahahs.

sun after dark clouds

THIS POST made the msn convo DISAPPEAR!
Muahahahhas....
Mr. Lu, I still remember what you said. Even tho' you might not.
PLEASE LEARN HOW TO IDENTIFY FICTON FROM FACT.
LOLS.

People, your Christmas presents are driving me nuts ok.
Don't say "eeeee, so cheapo" when you receive them.
Cause, because of this,
I owe my maid $10, and
I owe Loo Yee $8.
Thanks hur!
And now I'm going to owe my younger siblings money cos' I need to borrow from them to buy something.. a 'compulsory item'...

I have 2 extra tickets for (L)(E), or Love Letter!
This Saturday, 23rd December
Attire: Smart Casual
Ticket: $3 per person
4pm: Fiesta (oooh fun fun fun!) at L1 MPH
5-6.30pm: Musical + short service

Ok la, you come,
I GIVE YOU THE OPTION TO PAY ME $3 FOR THE TIX OR JUST TAKE IT AT NO CHARGE.
Well, if you're nice enough, you'll pay because I have liabilities...
But see here, I'M nice enough to let you take the ticket and go for free even though I'm broke like shit.
You hardly see this kind of offer around wan hor!

[edited to add]
Jacelyn and I were preparing the stuff at Hougang Mall's KFC..
And goodness we attracted A LOT of attention la.
That's how fame is like. You get people staring.
Ahahahah ok I'm kidding, you know I am.
Yah then I glanced at the people walking outside, then saw this super familiar person.
The face, the hair, the height...
Desmond. -.-
No mistake cos' he still looks the same after 8 months.
Lol.. This girl still can say, "Who? Your father ah?"
-Faints- Haha.
[/edited to add]

Walau eh, YOU are going to get me into trouble la...
It will come soon.

Piano teacher's making me lose confidence...

well, if you're lucky, =)

Gawsh
This has to be more than just seasonal rain.
Today I got myself wet again.
So did my precious PL jacket and my shorts O_O
This caused flooding in some parts of Singapore, and according to the news, ... ... ...
It looked like another country. I mean how often do you see our country flooded?
Almost never.
Yet the broadcaster said S'pore had worse weather than this.
Rain has it's pros and cons.
Very soon, we'll start wishing for rain.

There was yet another earthquake in Indonesia.
And China's aids problem isn't improving.
Why does the news seem to be filled with bad ones?
I think I'm such a loyal channel 8 supporter, I watch both her drama and news -_-"
And I want to watch the Good Morning Singapore too...
The one on the sailors coming back after Asiad.

8 golds... 5 were by the sailing squad.
I think they can bring back an Olympic medal in 2 years!
Haha they better do that..
"After winning the bulk of Singapore's record haul of eight golds, SingaporeSailing are now the model for all other national sports associations (NSAs). "
-CNA
I feel like watching The Holiday and Night at the Museum!
But, crappp,
no time and no money. Pffffft.
All my money will go to the Christmas presents which I'm getting with Jacelyn tomorrow.
Money. Hate it (for running out so fast) or love it.

northeast monsoon rain

It has been raining non-stop...
I got slightly wet yesterday.
And got stuck in church this morning until my maid came with an umbrella.
Don't stand near a road where there are oncoming vehicles in a heavy rain.
Unless you like getting drenched.

Yea I'm still happy from last night's (short =( ) conversation.
Or should I say.. early this morning?
You seem to know my thoughts...?
And did it.
=)

hope that that "you" doesn't come here... haha.
it's happy dreaming for me..

... a yamaha silent piano..
it's funny, how you made me smile...
for the first time in HOURS..
but you won't know it...
hint: time of posting

it couldn't get more obvious

hmmm...
Perhaps he's right.
Maybe "insensitive" is the word.
But nah.. who am I to judge?

today's proper blogpost will be posted somewhere else.

24 hours? too short

I take back what I said in the previous post. It will not be edited. zzz.

WARNING: don't read if you get bored easily.
my fingers are itchy so it will keep moving until the itch stops. which will be the end of the post.

Today (Sunday) is like such a long day can...
Nah actually it's both Saturday and Sunday.
I don't think my cell members will read la, and anyway from now onwards I need to be more careful about what I blog.
So I'll just say what I/we did.
It's going to be BORING.
Just feel like blogging like this, so here goes.

I woke up at 11am on Sat morning.
Slacked, lunched, took a bath, ... ... went for Youth Ablaze.
Uncle William's word was vvvvvery good.
[Oh BY THE WAY, my father's also called William Tan, but when the adults ask me who's daughter I am and I answer them, they don't go "Woah he married twice ah?" You know what I mean la.]
No cell discussion but it didn't really make a difference.
Rehearsed for the caroling.
Sang at 207 (a room in church).
Joe drove all of us to block 603 for 2nd round of caroling.
[BY THE WAY (again), it's not "carolling" cos' I looked up the dictionary, there's only one L.]
Dinner, where this boy (or should I say guy) joined us. The name's Benjamin.
Went down to J8 without Ivan =(, Kee L..?? however it's spelt -.- Kaye lah =(, and Smarties.
Joe drove the girls (Loo Yee, SophiaS, Clarissa, me) there while the guys (Daryl, Aaron, Kai Wei, Andrew, Joshua, Ben) cabbed there.
zzzzzz. Played some game and talked to Ben about God.
The chocolate joined us.
We bought popcorn and coke and nachos and all.
SophiaS and I shared a B&J's combo! Cookie dough. Whoooooots (shared among almost all of us so you can imagine all the saliva. -shivers- plus I was the one who finished the last bit so I tasted everyone's deposited salivary amylases. yucks man.)
Watched Deja Vu at 11.45pm. Yes, PM.
We split, Joe drove Clarissa, Daryl and Aaron back.
My dad drove the rest back.
Home sweet home at 3am.
Knocked off at 4am.

10.15am, woke up.
Msged 3 people to make sure they're awake.
Got missed call from Daryl -.- then Joe called to check.
Waited for Loo Yee aka Jacelyn aka Monster at the foyer.
(Cos' I don't like to go in alone so I thought maybe she feels the same)
Worship, communion, sermon. Which was quite ok la. Fine it was more than just 'ok', haha.
Fixed the puzzle thing for QT.
Went to PS with Jace and Janice, did a lot of catching up with Jan.
Lunched at Mos B. Super filling.
Walked round and round the place and into shops then out again. Lols.
(love going out with 'em)
Left at 5 plus, almost 6pm.
Got home and rested for awhile.
Went out again to some restaurant near Raffles Place.
With grandparents (father's side) + my family + 1st uncle's family (incl 2 out of 3 cousins) + 3rd uncle (single. no family)
Super nice + full dinner to celebrate my grandparents' birthday.
haha.
Everyone was happy. So we went home.
Reached home at 11pm.

How very tiring.
I was sooooooo elated when Ryan said today's tuition cancelled can.

I think readers zzzz-ed halfway thru' the post. Wahahahhs. Anyway I'm gonna continue.

Did I make Joe sound like our driver?
Whoops. Haha. It wasn't intentional.
Thanks for driving us around though!
Santa claus came to town!

I broke 2 records.
One - Went home early (REAL early) in the morning without getting scolded or nagged at. Hahahah for once sia.
Two - Watch more than 1 movie (in the cinema) in a month!

We were all so high la.
Or should I say... I was high? Oh wells.
But it's so sad that Pam, Kev, Ivan, KL, KT, Santi couldn't join us!

About Deja Vu...
It wasn't as good as I expected.
Was like, copying the Time Turners in the Harry Potter series lor.
The HP nuts will know. And it probably bored 2 pigs off to sleep.
Beside Jacelyn and me.
(Not SophiaS! who was between us. ahhaahhaah)
It's Kai Wei and Smarties. Ok la Smurfy wasn't as bad, he slept a bit only. [i heard the Astroboy really zzzz-ed! LOLS. waste money]

My dad is like o_O.
Woah... I myself didn't expect him to really wake up at 2am to drive 7 people home.
Thank you daddyyyyyyy.
The seven are from Senkang (Astro, Helmet, Monster), 603 (Ben), 112 bus stop (Emo), near Auntie Kwee Choon's house (Smurf, Sop)

My mother said some things.
1. 8 salvations at 603 [but the msged passed around said 6?]
2. Ben's ma is a Christian. [God must be working. Seeing that she allows him to follow us. Realllly hope that he'll join us!]
3. BF guys are "very good", ... she "asked one very cute and good-looking one" to go and talk to Ben (prolly the movie thing) and the whole group went. [OMG WHO IN THE CELL IS SHE REFERRING TO LA. have "cute" and "good-looking" meh? pls note the quotation marks ok! is she say wan, not me.]

Gosh Jace you're right blogging can be hard cos' of the remembering of names.

My fingers are still itchy, so I shall go on.

JOANNE LIM is so funny can!!! Crapping with her on MSN..

I'll continue blabbling somewhere else lah later the post get too long then you complain. muaahahahahs.

yoohooooooo

Happy Birthday Kevin (See)!!!!

Never play tic-tac-toe with him for a long time already!
Gahhh, I miss owning him in the games. Haha.

I missed the sec 4 farewell!! =(

Guess what
I have so many things to do:

1) ALL the holiday assignments [that's almost hell]
2) get ALL the tuition homework done [believe it or not, i'm already preparing for chinese o's, thanks to my oh-so-kiasu tutor]
3) perfect (or at least play up to my piano teacher's standard) the grade 8 scales and The Puppet's Dance [headache]
4) shop for Christmas presents! [but- alone???]
5) revise on the year's work - all 8 subjects. [10, to be exact.]
6) cut my nails [-.- can't play the piano with long nails]
7) play bass before my bassing gets rusty

Sheeeesh, why didn't I start on homework earlier?!?!
This always happens.
And I tell myself that the next time there's homework, I'll do it earlier.
But noooooo. Humph.
School + tuition assignments = ~!@#$%^&*()_+
Yikes.

Had fun with Priscilla today!
hahahah
The digital camera's an excellent invention.

The trip to Desaru and Austin Hills in JB was a bloody one. (literally)
I couldn't swim, and believe it or not, my sibs swam on all 4 days.
Waiting for them is like ~!@#$%^&* too.
I brought some homework along, hoping to complete at least some but didn't la.
Only revised on the mole concept. -.-

Took this one from the car. Cute right! Lols. Teh monkeh.

Feels as if I haven't been rostered to sing (backup) for ages.
I still have the red mic cover with me. Hur.

Kay la Ling Ying, I give up.
Fret not, I will still put you up as my display picture every now and then =)

The party there, or watchnight service in church?
An unanswered question.
Which no one can answer.

How will my school life be like next month onwards?
How will church be like?
And what about my friends?
Grade 8? Is there time to prepare and take the exam next year?
Will I be more hardworking... or more slack?
More questions.

I'm happy for you =)
Glad you had a good time. I shan't say more.

Christel and Jonathan

ohminefrigginggosh-
Jon has got to be the only one who plays bass with a guitar pick in our church.
And he does it well.
I'm wow-ed.
He's so talented can! Both his acoustic and electric guitaring are already jaw-dropping, and his bassing is also '!!!!!!!!!!!', and and and he can sing!
He and Christel (vvvvvvery good keyboarding and singing and a bit of guitaring) are a perfect match.
Hees I wonder when will wedding bells ring for them?

shopping! (310th post)

Assume today is Friday kay.

Finally got to watch Happy Feet!
Went with Hui Ling and Man Ling (frankly speaking, it's my 1st time out with them)
And for the 1st time, I was early! Wahahahahs.
Usually people have to wait for me.. hehs.

Some quotes here, they're so damn adorable..

[talking to humans]
Mumble: I'm speaking clear penguin!
---

[
after Mumble has jumped off a glacier to chase a ship]
Ramón
: Man, how're we gonna tell his mama he brought us all the way out here just to kill himself?
---

Gloria
: [to Mumble's unhatched egg] Is it empty? Can I have it?
---
Lombardo
: What are you gonna do? Subject him to cruel and unusual punishment?
Raul: Unimaginable torture?
Lombardo
: Imaginable torture?
Raul
: Your singing?
---

Memphis
: What's going on there? What are you doing?
Baby Mumble
: [tap dancing] I'm happy!
Memphis
: What's with your feet?
Baby Mumble
: They're happy, too!

And then, omg Man Ling spilled the WHOLE drink (cos' she couldn't aim at the cup holder) and we were laughing our heads off.
Can you see the ice? Haha. Good thing we didn't attract too much attention.

We spent years in This Fasion can, hahahah...
Hui Ling was like the most thrifty, more thrifty than me!
Woah that calls for a celebration.
She bought this skirt from the budget corner,
an entire floor of uber cheap clothes with only a few nice ones.
I happened to look at the jeans.
It's unwearable! I mean it will cover your entire tummy!
Like Mrs W's. Shhh I never say anything. Shush.
We spent $64 in total. Hees. Is that a small or big sum?

Then we walked over to Heeren and Far East.
Just looked around, never buy anything. haha.
Wah we walk until our legs almost gave way.
K la not that bad.
The rest can be read from Man Ling's blog.

I met Yi Jia my buddy today to have lunch at KFC,
not surprisingly, I was 10 mins late. Lol.
Then we bus-ed down to Bugis.
The route was so long la.. zzzzzz.

This girl ah, can spend like there's no tomorrow.
Cannot tell lor! I mean, 4A1 this kind!
Hahaha...
We just kept walking and walking at Bugis Village,
look around, stop, buy, walk, stop, look, walk back to the same place, buy, hesitate, "buy or don't buy?", ... ...
The embarrassing thing about Singaporeans is we bargain and ask for discounts.
I just wonder what goes thru' tourists' minds when they see us. xP
(Yeah and I was bargaining most of the time la. Yi Jia is like, just pay. But hey can save like $2-3!)
In the end she bought 4 tops which cost around $50. zzz.
I bought 2 tops and a bag. $40 plus.

We window shopped a bit at Bugis Junction before taking a bus back.
Man, I'm really going to miss her and the other sec 4s...
=(

OH YA forgot to take photos with HL and ML yesterday!!!! darn.
Then today only took one pic and our faces are so darn big so I will not upload it.

Here's something for you to laugh at.
Tsk tsk. If you're not laughing then I think you need to brush up your English..

Will be home for the whole day!
Better be more productive.

the risky 'game' of life

'Love' is a very complex word. Still...
Allow me to do some shoutouts will you.

I love You Jesus, deep down in my heart, and I thank You for your undying love for me. This love that never ever fails no matter how much I've sinned. This unconditional love, which cannot be found anywhere else. Jesus loves me and I love Him!

I love you still, Priscilla and Timothy, and please take note that the words 'give up' do not exist in my dictionary. That would be the last thing on my mind. And I mean what I say. It's only been a few months but we can say that we're very much together yes? Looking forward to that day... Started prep work already lor. =p Yeah.. I love you both!!!!

My dearest cell group, Joe, Wan Hui, Kevin, Kai Wei, Smarties, Clarissa, Sophia, Loo Yee, Daryl, Kee Teck, Andrew, Aaron, Joshua, Santi, Ivan. Your faces are on the screen of my mp3 player. Our cell photo alone can make me smile even after I feel like I've just lost the battle of the century. You guys make all the difference. I love you!

Handbells- Ethel, Man Ling, Hui Ling, Ling Ying - gosh I dunno how many 'I love you's I need to say to put my point across! Especially after today... Haha. With the flaccid bunny and the meowing sea creatures =D OH and all that laughter.. There's never a dull moment with you girls around!

Handbells- Wan Yi, Yi Jia, Desiree, Lynette, Wen Xin, Rachel, Melissa, Hui Zi -I really don't want you to leave lor! I love you seniors... And then I won't be around for the sec 4 farewell also... So sad. But yeah thanks for all the times together and for your contribution to PL handbells! Plus you were the ones who brought back the Gold with Honours and set the standard for us. We won't let PL down, and we definitely won't let you down! (Mr Fong is proud of our current batch too..)

Other church friends like Ling Jia, Denise, Cheryl, Grace, Janice ... ... ... I love you and together we will grow with the ministry, growing in Christ as well as our faith, and who can forget this: bringing in more people to YA so that the Kingdom of God can grow bigger?!

Xi Ying, Fiona, Jia Yan, Charmaine! Thanks for everything la. Haha. Especially the laughter and the endless crap we're always coming out with. I love you I love you I love you I love you!

I also love those who said 'I love you' to me during the past few days! Haha, oops. I can't really remember who they are.

=)

From Melvin's blog again. I find that his posts are very worth the read.

then at LOS camp, i broke down before God while playing the guitar for the 5pm and 8pm svc.. it was just too overwhelming for me.. usually i concentrate on the worship leader and my playing each time i play e guitar for either YPM or the Main Svc.. however as Uncle Daniel was just preaching and inviting the youths to kneel b4 God and spend an intimate time w Him, my heart began to cry out so much for the Man who gave His life so we cld live blameless and pure lives...

I knew y i was crying so much.. God was fixing my heart.. He was also strengthening it as He knew my heart for ppl.. My passion is to serve ppl... and when i saw every single youth kneeling down, some jus crying out so earnestly, some prostrating face-down on the ground, my heart just gave way..

and today God spoke to me smth that explained to me how we shld lead our lives... A GOD-FEARING LIFE... so often, we go to church, answer the altar call, cry and then feel so 'rejuvenated'.. THEN, the following day, we go back to our usual lifestyles.. scolding vulgar languages, shouting at ppl, being demanding, making use of ppl... then come Fridays or Sundays, we go back to the altar, cry again and the entire cycle begins again.. *tsk tsk*

it certainly is a gd point 2 ponder aei? i'll share more on this pt tml or the day after.. heh cos i need to gather all my thoughts right first.. dun wanna confuse ppl SINCE usually i do sidetrack haha.. ('.')

This part is where I want to point out.
Uncle Daniel was supposed to preach. He already prepared everything but in the end he didn't, and we had a marvelous time of worship with God instead. And many many got touched. Me included. The holy spirit was just moving among us la, that's how I felt when we were singing the praise songs. PRAISE. Not even the worship songs yet. Something was already different, and I knew God was stirring us and renewing that passion for Him. He spoke to me... I think, because I couldn't stop crying for quite awhile.. Uncle Dan's words just hit me hard and I feel that maybe that was what God wanted to say to me. As for what they were about... I'm not gonna say it here =)

There's much much more stuff 'bout the camp but the second day,
from the skit to the worship right down to the underground church thing was really the best.
It would have been even better if I got 'tortured' for the underground church la..
But Ling, Dee, Dorita, Ben Thia, 2 other guys and I were hiding at such a good spot that the 'red army' didn't spot us.
Don't take for granted the fact that we have the freedom to do preach, worship, pray etc in Singapore.
AND, whatever it is, don't deny Christ. Yes.

I am like sooooooo happy now! It's a happy day! from 8.30am all the way until now, 1.29am.

Youth Camp 2006

Lover of Our Soul was a blast!

I have so much to say yet I don't feel like saying.
I'll see how it goes. Don't think I'll be blogging about camp..

Some people make me want to go
"awwwwwwwwwwwww" or
"can you not be so sweet? you're freaking me out."

I was one of the earliest to sleep this morning. Hah.
But now... I still need to zzzzzzzzzzz.

away, and mock the time with fairest show

I need to be refreshed.
I yearn to see God once again.
I want to be on fire for Him.
I have to get out of this mess.
I don't care about anything else.

...for now. c'mon joyce. focus. forget the past. look at the future.it's bright and hopeful.

; False face must hide what the false heart doth know.
