Pictures from Joey's birthday; Cell bonding

Joey's birthday!

Celebrated with the horse, Valerie, Madeline, Hillary, Stacey, Persie, Clare.. saw Tania for awhile. THEY'RE ALL SO PRETTY NOW OK. I'm jealous. Haha. I guess 4c2 will be reunited again on the 25th of July when we meet for the graduant's service thing in PL.

We went to Chomp^2 for dinner, went back to Kovan, sat at Macs to drink and chit chat, taking lots everywhere we went. Then the REAL cam-whoring started outside Hong Leong Finance, of all places -.- Many thanks to Madeline, Hillary and Valerie who emailed the pictures =) I hope horsey enjoyed her birthday!

And then there's pics from our cell dinner... from Clarissa's camera, from the cell blog.. we didn't manage to take a cell photo! Sad..Girls are natural cam-whorers. Period.

Facing the Music, literally

FACING THE MUSIC, LITERALLY.

clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
omg i dont wanna face music anymore
joyce says:
you cant run away from it!!!!!!!!
clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
i can
clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
by making myself deaf
clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
i can't believe myself
clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
seriously
clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
when u play music, ur entire being, ur whole soul has to be singing
clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
during music prac, my soul was just dead
clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
something was wrong
clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
i dont know what
joyce says:
-.-
clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
i was just playing notes
clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
and notes are crap
clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
notes are music-less
clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
cos the music has to come from inside, not ur fingers
clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
grrr

Complex stuff. I've been playing the piano for 11 years and I'm playing notes most of the time. OMG, I am in grave danger.

clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
as my piano teacher always says, when u play an instrument, it's actually about mastering the art of singing through ur fingers. if ur fingers are just moving and ur heart and soul arent singing, you're just creating noise pollution.
clairieeee lunatico madnissio crazissimo tan says:
so i might as well have gone into e exam with a drill

Cell Bonding

HAPPY BIRTHDAYS to the June babies

Clarissa, Jacelyn, Iris,

Joe, Joey, and Gloria (my sis)!

I hope I didn't leave anyone out. haha

Okay, I am guilty of being late, AGAIN!

Anyway, for YA yesterday, Pastor Daniel did a sort of follow-up on church camp... then made us do the 'practical' activity we did during the camp, like get into pairs or threes to pray for a prayer of encouragement for each other, based on the sensation/spontaneous thought/word/vision we get from God. I just prayed what I felt like praying for Iris and well, it turned out to be something she could identify with.. just shows that we should not get distracted by our surroundings, just do it!

I wanted to break down when Pastor Daniel and Mel Goh mentioned STRENGTH, cos' I've been relying on myself for term exams, I didn't pray much.. when all along I could have looked to God for supernatural strength. 那给了我一个相当大的启发。以后,不要只靠自己。

Pray for the lost sheep, those that have disappeared...
Pray and don't give up (:

We went to CarlsJr for cell dinner at Vivo, and certainly made our presence known by our thunderous laughters. OMG la, the coffee and tea, fuzzy wuzzy, can you see the pattern, knock knock and the telephone thing -- I still can't get the telephone and the coffee and tea!!!! We were 'playing' that for hours from CJr to the site near the playground to the area outside daiso to the pool to B&J's (argh we didn't get to go in and eat!) -.- Loved the cam-whoring! But I don't have photos with me. & Iris shared her gift from ****** to the cell, so sweet of her! LOL ;)

In short, it'll be good if we can have more cell dinners! Or it'll always be the same few people eating together after service every week.

Had a great time with you guys, BFC! Oh and Aaron's (not my brother's) legs are sexy!!

After I got home, changed blogskin (comment on it!), MSNed with Ivan YeoMei Aaron Smarties and Andrew, then talked to Andrew until my phone battery died at around 4.15am this morning, then I slept at 4.30.

WHICH EXPLAINS WHY I'M LATE! If you still remember how I started my post (after the birthday greetings portion).... I woke up at 1148pm only to find 7 missed calls and 4 new messages. SORRY PEOPLE!!!!!! Hence I missed the 2nd service. Sigh.

Reflections from church camp

(First posted on BFC's blog, then I got it copied and pasted here. Took hours to type this!)

This is going to be a long, wordy post. You've been warned xD

The theme for this year's church camp was Transformed! By His grace and power. It was anchored on one of the verses in our scripture memory list

1Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. 2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:1-2
Testimonies were shared throughout the camp, and it just leaves me smiling and awed by what our God can do.

There was one testimony on the first night about a lady's lost luggage which was left at the side of the road in Singapore for a few hours, and who should pick it up but her friend. Coincidence? The auntie (oops) contemplated on whether to put a luggage tag the night before since she thought the luggage will be put together with all the rest from her coach. She put the luggage tag on anyway. Coincidence? Someone could have called the police to report a "suspicious article" seen by the side of the busy road but no, the lone bag was ignored. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Transformed - by the renewing of our mind(set). Pastor Derek said something which really struck me and I believe many others too. He said sickness and disease was never meant for us. We were created clean and "without blemish", and any form of illness (allergies included) were not from God because He did not create us to be sick. In the Lord's prayer, part of it says in Matthew 6:10, "your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Note that there's no form of illness or unhappiness in heaven. It's a similar case for our planet. Healing belongs to the church, the body of Christ.
Exodus 15:26 "the Lord who heals you."
Psalm 103:3 "heals all your diseases."

Thus healing of the sick and physical abnormalities took place for all 3-4 days. It felt more like a healing camp. I was just thankful that I was and am physically well. Health is a blessing, and we deserve it!

Pastor Mike Connell was with the Chinese congregation throughout the camp except on the 'free and easy' time on the 2nd day where we youths had the privilege of having him speak to us, and then Pastor Mike again that night with the rest of the English congregation. He did the same thing with us for both sessions. He taught us how to hear from God for a word or vision FOR someone, one whom we aren't familiar with...and then pray for that person using whatever we've heard or saw. We practiced this with different people.

It was quite an experience for me because I really had to put aside every self-consciousness and doubt, and not question myself, whether it's part of my imagination or something from God Himself. I wrote this in my notes, "Receive God's revelations in your mind and, not argue with it. Learn how to receive info from God, act on it. Renew your mind." I found it difficult... and I still find it a little challenging, because in my opinion, one has to have an extremely close walk with God in order to hear Him that well and be 100% sure it's from Him. I'm glad that afternoon's 'free and easy' was taken up by that session. That was when I REALLY felt God's presence as compared to the other sessions. I wanted to continue to worship Him, but the closing closed too soon. Haha.

How to renew your mind/activate the renewed mind
- memorise scriptures
- meditate on the word of God
(- use your imagination to visualise a story in the Bible, like you're a part of the story
--> visualise aspects not recorded in the Bible)
- pray in tongues
--> spirit is praying
- pray and tune in
--> expressing our longing to hear from Him; desire to communicate with Him
--> God DOES speak to us. Job 33:14-18

As for Holy Spirit Night, this year's was slightly different. The many testimonies shared again left me at a loss for words, it's wonderful to hear how prayer and faith can get rid of salompas (you konw, that plaster for body aches), can make one (who's initially unable to even squat) RUN, improve one's eyesight by leaps and bounds, etc. There's so much, I can't recall everything.
This year, all the elders and elders' wifes (not 'wives' right?) made a sort of tunnel where every single one of us were supposed to walk through it, stopping at each couple for them to pray a short prayer for us. All we had to do was to receive. At the end of the tunnel, we'd get ushered to either SP or Pastor Derek to be anointed with oil... that's when many got slain, especially at Pastor Derek's side. He was "firing" all through the night. I didn't get slain, I simply took a few steps back when his oily hand touched my forehead. I don't know how it's like to be slained.. and I'm not questioning God either, but I'm curious to know what happens. That, I know, varies from person to person.

Another main thing I learned was that Jesus was born as a human, fully man, not a supernatural being.
5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
6Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Philippians 2:5-8 (NIV)
Jesus has to become fully man so that He can take the sins for us, so we can identify with His sacrifices.
19Jesus gave them this answer: "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.
John 5:19 (NIV)
Jesus did not perform miracles as God, He was "Son of Man", remember?
38how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
Acts 10:38 (NIV)
So much for the Da Vinci Code arguing that Jesus was a man... well, he WAS!! The other arguement in the book/movie is just lame, not for the weak in faith.

I have this motion sickness which acts up every now and then when I'm in the car or public bus and I'd feel like puking. I don't la, I end up burping at the end of the ride. But it still feels horrible. I can't even talk on the phone or reply SMSes in the car. Amazingly, I did not feel that way during the journey to and from KL in the coach!! I could even STUDY in the bus and sing songs and talk, without feeling any discomfort. I sat right at the back of the coach on the first day, mind you, supposedly the most motion sickness-prone seats but no, nothing happened! Praise God! :D

Christians put on display the reality of God. We are ambassadors of Christ (something which came to my mind right before Pastor Mike mentioned it). So we should show it, prove it, through our actions. Realise how the media creates such a huge fuss over Christians who commit crimes... it's just this discrimination which I cannot understand.

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord blessed be Your name

Term Exams

I spent my Sunday doing Chinese, Chinese and more Chinese... I migrated to the void deck at blk 231 (complete with the 'fragrance' of the rubbish chute at odd intervals) in the afternoon and stuck myself there until dark, and all I did was teng ye xian sheng, zui hou de niu che shui, a bit of bie li de gu shi and basically that's it. Even so, I have no idea how much of it got into my head.

Monday: GP and Chinese papers

A short extract of zui hou de niu che shui came out for Chinese (: Ahh and dozed off during that paper. Naturally. That's CHINESE yo!

I was late for school because I missed the 6.32am train. I thought I would have to go for DC but no, didn't get one (: There were 2.5 LONG rows of latecomers standing outside the hall and LT1. It was 1.5 when I arrived at that corridor. I tried hard to suppress my amusement.
School gave the entire staff and student body an apple. They can be so cute sometimes.

Tuesday: H1 Maths paper

I was one of the affected ones whose GC (graphic calculator) applications got cleared completely, all except for finance when what we needed was CONICS and not finance. The teacher said we're supposed to upgrade our GCs and the apps got cleared because we did not upgrade it. wth?? My whole class didn't even know about it!

Piano lesson was crap because I couldn't remember most of my theory stuff like figured bass and my teacher almost scolded me -.-

Wednesday: H2 Geog, H2 Econs

The killers.
I only had 2.5 hours of sleep the night before (morning actually). I wrote out of point for econs and I made up my own facts for geog. Raindrops the size of bullets were heard crashing down the badminton hall after our econs exam scripts were collected. All we could do was sit and stare in disbelief. All of us got our share of the rain while making our way back to the main building from the sports complex. That sheltered walkway is useless.

I saw this SR guy wearing a Pegasus shirt and thought, what is an SRJCian doing at buona vista?? It turned out to be Jerome, who said he went to NUS for some checkup. I had company from BV all the way back to home.. it was quite an honour. I mean, how often do your friends walk you home man! Especially when it's not 'on the way'.

I just had to misplace my DNA and genomics notes ONE DAY before the bio paper. How very fortunate.

Then at night, horse and I mugged from 10pm all the way till 5am at macs. Interesting things happened. We got free food and drinks (medium coke and large fries) from her secret admirer.

Thursday: H2 Biology

I reached Kovan station, walked to my usual spot and saw an AC guy. Ang Ren?? But he's a Punggol-er! He said Ken was in front, a few doors away and true enough I saw his black and white adidas bag before spotting him. I dunno what the Punggol and Hougang guys were doing at Kovan. The train arrived seconds after, and we boarded the train BUT Ren walked out of the train after walking in cos' he thought Ken was still outside. The train door closed on Ren just when he realised Ken was inside. -.- Ken got down at Serangoon and they met on the next train I think, but they made it to school on time because they cabbed there. The two of them are jokers man.

Assembly was a joke too. The front of the hall was almost empty with only a few students seated because the first paper of the day was bio, and well that's where the arts classes sit. The FTs of the arts classes were laughing at their classes' attendance.

I almost fell asleep during the paper. And my table was shaking like crazy.

Went back to PL with Hil and Pris Tay to collect Hil's SGC and say hi to the teachers... (Ms Kok and Ms Liang are so cute!!) Some juniors asked me why we're there and I simply said "my house mah, cannot is it?" LOL. We were there for quite awhile and got curious stares from the kids -.- yeah, we're in different school uniforms, but hey I was carrying a PL jacket! Had lunch there as well, Mrs Soh asked if we missed the food from PL. Fact is, YES. It's sooooo cheap. I ate a plate of rice with fried fish, beansprouts, cabbage and potato with curry and it cost only $2. That was a huge portion, mind you. You'll never see this in AC. $2 for so much.

Reunion of the Bishan Library Gang

(to myself)
Joyce, I know you can't resist blogging about such a significicant event, but please keep this short! You still have to STUDY, and complete your post on the annual (now biennual) church camp. Yes, time's legs have grown longer, they are running faster than you can ever imagine. Please manage it properly.

Right.

Significant event A day to remember, it seems :D It's the reunion of the BLG! Just a short introduction now, BLG stands for Bishan Library Gang. It all started after the O level music class of 2007 booked Catholic High School's music room to try out the piano, since we were going to use their music room and piano for our O level practical. We went to Bishan Library that day (can't remember whether to study or simply go there 'for fun'), and from then till O's, we studied at the library daily on weekdays like it was our second home. Of course, we had the competitors. The CatHigh guys and some StNicks and AndersonSec girls. There would be a crowd outside the glass doors every morning before the library opens. Then the crowd will sprint up to the 3rd and 4th floors to reserve the tables. Most unfortunately for the BLG, we didn't have legs like that of the guys and often had to resort to taking a corner of the library or the 'box' on the 4th floor. What was queer was that we didn't mind playing the snatching game with the other patrons and like them, we would mug from 10am to 9pm.

Who's in the BLG? You'll find out.

It was Hilary's idea to have a reunion and continue our 'tradition' of mugging at Bishan during the holidays. However, the crazy clashing of schedules made it seem like it was impossible for all of us to meet up. Ah, not today though!! Today's mugging session was slightly more interesting...
we had visitors (: It was just Jia Yan, Hilary, her friend Michael and I this morning. We got the 'box' with the table, the hot seat, thanks to Michael who ran up to reserve the table. Haha. He made the battery of my MP3 player go flat by the way. Something I have not done in a year!

(i'm not posting all the photos, no.. some of us look really unglam, myself included. duh. unglam queen. just that my unglam partner isnt around :P)

Who should join us after lunch, but the 2 remaining BLG-ers, Fiona and Xi Ying, and their friends! Victor, Jun Hong, Gerald and ?? !! Gerald and ?? didn't stay for very long. Fiona too. Oh and Jia Yan's friend, Shawn, came as well. They all happen to be guy friends of the BLG... made me look like some idiot without other friends >.<
The process of camwhoring was a really noisy one, just as I predicted before bringing up the idea. Mind you, it'sa LIBRARY we were at!
We went for dinner in shifts. XY, JH and Vic first, followed by Hil, JY, Shawn and I. By the time the 2nd shift returned from dinner, it was time to pack up and leave -.- The photos below were taken just before we went off for makan.

Hehe. At least I can more or less keep my mind off.. ... ...

Maths tutorial / Leadership roles reflection

Yea yea, I'm blogging about the church camp in greater detail, it's just not ready yet (: I'm still at day 1 -.-

We were supposed to have maths tutorial today at 10am. There are 29 students in my math class. Guess what.

Only 6 people turned up. 1 of them was half an hour late. What a joke. Sir wasn't angry.

I should really put in more effort as math rep.. Like, take the initiative to get all their contact numbers, pick a rep from each of their individual classes so I can contact the reps who will in turn contact them in case of emergency. In short, start a relay system. My gosh I suck as math rep. 6 out of 29 turned up. Some still have not collected their chapter 7 notes from me. And 5/6 of the class doesn't have their chapter 6 notes because I went to the photocopying auntie before the term ended and she told me that all the notes have been given out already. WTH? Ok. I really MUST do something about this!!! But then again, I was sabo-ed into the role... But (-.-) since I'm rep then I should just give my best right? Right. So yes I will think of something soon.

Not just that. Class fund is zero... and I doubt some of them even paid the sports complex fees when I told them to go make payment on their own at the sports complex when the deadline was over. Haha, no one said being class loan shark and subject rep at the same time was gonna be easy. It's more complicated than it sounds.

I don't think I'll get a position in the CO committee, so that's nothing to worry about. For now.

The mere thought of term exams is enough to drive me nuts. Talk about the ACTUAL studying! Yes, thank God for always being there...

Till then ('then' being when I complete my church camp post with FEW pictures, I hope I can do it AND study for term exams at the same time),
God Bless! :)

Church Camp 2008

The theme for LSBC's combined church camp this year was 'Transformed! By His grace and power.' for both the English and Chinese congregations. It was held at Berjaya Times Square in Kualar Lumpur, Malaysia from the 11th to 14th of June, Wednesday to Saturday.

This camp is another memorable one, one worth keeping into my memory bank. This is why you see it up here in words.

The sequence of events are as follows:

Day 1, Wednesday

I was one of the hundreds of members who went to church early in the morning to board the coach which was scheduled to transport the whole load of us to KL. There were 20 coaches in total, and I was in bus no. 19 together with 30-something other youths :D Our bus IC was Auntie Doris, one of the coolest aunties in church. She's motherly, cheerful, bubbly, and even adorable! lOl. Never mind that our bus was the last one to arrive because the driver couldn't find his passport (c'mon, give me a -___- face). Thank God he found it anyway. Be thankful man!

Below: Roommates; LingJia/Charmaine/Aarathi; Aloy praying??
Everyone cleared the immigration checkpoint smoothly :) I love the one at the Singapore side, it's so fun to have your passport and thumbprint scanned by the machine, a really quick and easy way to get through the customs.

My so-called bus partner for the journey to KL was Kwa, there was quite a bit of swapping of places in the bus..I sat at the middle seat right at the back, where I had a bird's-eye view of the entire bus. Haha, if the coach jerked, I'd be the first to fall. If that happened, I would have pulled the one nearest to me. Ronald or Charmaine. LOL. Of course, who could forget the singing session in the bus?We arrived at the hotel at what, 5pm? We missed the entire opening speech/briefing for all campers. By the time we got to the 14th floor, people were already making their way up to their rooms -.- That's how late we were. No hard feelings though, what mattered was that we arrived safely! :)

My 2 roommates for the camp....

Sophia and Jacelyn, AKA Loo Yee! *applauds*We didn't have to wait long for our room keys - A2606 was the room, East Wing. BUT we had to wait for the room to be ready. We were sitting outside at the corridor, waiting patiently for them to finish making up the room, which can be seen from the picture below... Bored people take photos.
Then we decided to be really lame. We had an opening ceremony for our room!! HAHAH, there's one missing hand there luh. I think Sophia withdrew hers.

The first thing that came to our minds at first glance of the room was like,
OMG SO SMALL!!!
We proceeded to explore the room, only to find a missing bed (there were 2 single beds and 3 of us), and closets which could not be fully opened due to some major obstructions -- the 2 beds -___-.

The closet doors could only be opened halfway, so obviously we didn't use them at all, we only made use of the safe to keep our passports and other valuables. Then Jacelyn got so excited she jumped about on the bed like a child who's never been into a hotel room before. Goodness.

ASPARAGUS soup was part of the dinner and, well, we were all grossed out by it. Bleh. I shouldn't have took so much. All that glitters is not gold! It did look appealing, someohow it just did. Everything else was alright I guess.

Ah. Then came the word session with Pastor Derek Hong from Church of Our Saviour (COOS). I must admit his messages are a lil' hard to understand, it requires a certain depth there.

That night wasn't much of an excitement. The 3 of us went over to Andrew and Joshua's room..... only to be greeted by a burning stench unworthy of our noses. Some joker went to burn paper in the room and maaaaaaaann, the smell was highly unbearable. Andrew's that joker la, I mean, who else would do something as bo liao as this??

Day 2

Sophia told me she snoozed my alarm for me twice. OOPS. Alarm clocks of any sort just don't seem to work on me! I know my alram tone was highly irritating, haha, but that's how I try to irritate myself awake if I do hear the alarm (which is quite rare. My maid always wakes me up.).

[post continued on Thursday, June 26]

Pardon my inconsistency from this portion down.

THERE'S SO MUCH TO POST AND I CANT REMEMBER WHAT EXACTLY TOOK PLACE -__-

Back from Church Camp!

I've got this weird habit on leaning on people or lying on their shoulders when I'm tired or when I feel like sleeping...it's partly because I'm surrounded by girl friends all the time..but I've gotta say, I SUCCEEDED THIS TIME!!! I SURVIVED FOR HOURS WITHOUT KO-ING ON RONALD OR JOSH KWA OR KENNETH (when we were going to KL) OR ALOYSIUS (when returning to Sg). I did lie on Charmaine when she was beside me though. LOL. What an accomplishment -.-

I feel so fired up for Jesus :D
I want this enthusiasm to last, for this flame to burn brightly, never to be extinguished.

Rain

I was sitting at the bus stop with Hil, waiting for her bus to arrive when suddenly a gush of strong wind swept by, and it started raining leaves from the trees by the side of the road. She boarded the bus when it stopped, and I walked through the ever-so-familiar sheltered walkway, back to my place of residence. This time, with actual rain being felt on my skin. I thought that the wind felt somewhat like Aceh's during last year's mission trip, only on a much smaller scale. The rain got heavier by the minute, finally arriving at my doorstep, throwing itself on every pair of shoes it could get itself on.

Not one soul gets left behind in God's kingdom. If, and only if they'll open their hearts and stop running away. I wanna be like the wet shoes outside my door.

What an unusual illustration, I don't know why I'm doing this either *shrugs*
One thing for sure, the family papaya tree needed the rain :) It's wilting, you see.

Hilary said I looked "super feminine" with this new thing I bought, and she even "got a shock when (she) saw (me)"! Haha like hello, I've always been this way :)
We were at Bishan library after 5pm.. where she emo-ed with her friend and I thought it best not to join in the emo-ing, and completed one Chinese comprehension whilst they were just talking.
Prior to that, I was at the library@esplanade with Beetsma and Amelia. It got soooo comfy I just didn't want to do any work. I simply stared blankly at the Chinese characters before my eyes. My eyes were fixed there, but my mind was somewhere else. Amelia looked close to dreamland as well, only Beets was really studying.
Before we decided to settle in the library, the 3 of us were at Swensen's at Suntec City. I swear, Amelia and I can be the #1 unglam queens around. And the waiters...They were trying to be funny, it was so obvious. So basically we being unglam queens made idiots out of ourselves. It was highly embarrassing. I will leave out the details, lest it bores you to sleep.

I was the last to arrive at LT3 for econs this morning. Or so I thought.
I reached at 9.10am, only to find many pairs of eyes staring at me as I slipped quickly to an empty seat at the front row. Mdm R simply put a handout on my table, she did not reprimand me for being late. Phew. 20mins later, I received an SMS from Ame. Her turn to be late -.- She was afraid to walk in, so she came in during the break at 9.50. After the break, it was Marcus who strolled in =.= The LT (Lai Theng not you xD) exploded in a fit of laughter. One hour late. Champion. All latecomers for the day happened to be from my class. One zoo of a class. (there were about 2 other h2 econs classes present as well)

I am falling to my knees
I need You Lord to breathe in me
My prayer is still the same
My heart is calling out Your name

Sweet anointing fill this place
I am found in Your embrace

Rain down on me
Rain down on me
Here in Your presence I am free
Pour down like rain
Come and touch me again
Lord let Your presence fall on me

I am longing just to see
Your power and Your majesty

Sweet anointing fill this place
I am found in Your embrace

Looking forward to a whole new experience...
I'm praying that God will help me to forget it all... and everything from here to there, making sure I don't stop and stare... He will be my focus especially for this camp.

I'll be back.

joyce says:
hmm i check my schedule
Say it again says:
mr fong wants the syf grp to perform the syf pieces

So says my sec 4 handbell bud, Diana. Oh man I wanna go back, I wanna touch handbells I wanna ring some pieces again! Though for the whole of last year excluding CCA fair, we sec 4s (of '07) only played 3 pieces. The 2 SYF pieces, plus Amazing Grace which we played with the barker CO. Anyway I was talking about Diana, she's SO like me, my L1R5 was 25 for mid-years and she got 26. So cute, haha. Then she complains about her sister

Say it again says:
but the worse thing was that....she wore the handbell shirt to slp!!!

I went back to SRJC today (: To study a BIT with Fio, Chelsie (crasher) and XY. Pris Tay had to freaking announce to the rest that Chel and I crashed.zzz
Pris: (looking surprised, walking towards us) ehhh you outsider!!
Me: Shhhhhhhhh!!!
Pris: (to me) Oi I thought you in AC? (to chel) I thought you're in TP? Y'all come here for what?
WAH the students from the other 2 or 3 tables turned to look la, so embarrassing! Thank God there were no teachers around.

Then there was Grace's farewell where I was the last one to arrive -.- due to my prolonged hesitation. No pictures cos' my camera charger is STILL missing, I have to get pics from the others.

My luggage isn't packed yet!

:(

Why why why why why why???
A) People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs & replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.
B) Tag 8 people to do this quiz & those who are tagged cannot refuse. These people must state who they were tagged by & cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by.Continue this game by sending it to other people.

#1 If your lover betrayed you, what will your reaction be?
I'll just feel damn pissed but will eventually learn to forgive and forget..maybe in a year or longer. (Claire take note. HAHA jkjk.)

#2 If you can have a dream to come true, what would it be?
"Tell the world that Jesus lives" - for all to come to know Christ!

#3 What will your dream wedding be like?
I don't even think I'll get married...

#4 Will you rather have a loving girl/boyfriend and little friends, or no girl/guy to love you yet many friends?
I refuse to give an answer

#5 What if one day you realised that the person you love turns out to be different from whom you think he/she is?
Lol. I won't know how to react.

#6 Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?
Being loved (:

#7 Fries or potato chips?
BOTH!

#8 Longest relationship?
Not applicable. Almost got into one, that was the only one.

#9 Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
hmmm... just rather emo these days =/ it should be pms. should be.

#10 What do you want most in life?
Can I modify the question? What do I want most in life within the next five years? Complete or at least start on diploma (ABRSM piano), get into NTU accountancy, serve in a ministry in church

#11 Do you like being tagged?
Tagged in what sense? Visitors' tags on the tagboard or friends 'tagging' me to do this kinda thing?

#12 How do you see yourself in ten years' time?
Haven't exactly thought about that yet..!

#13 Who is currently the most important person to you?
Who = singular. God (though He's not a person) will always be the most important, not just currently. As for the person... well.

#14 What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?
I feel at a loss when I see her battling with her eczema, it's like there's nothing I can do but pray. Seeing here in this state makes my heart ache!! hope it doesn't sound too cheesy. But she is a strong girl (:

#15 Would you rather be single and rich or married but poor?
Married but poor. Money can always be earned. But no amount of cash can buy you love.

#16 What's the first thing you do every morning?
Check my handphone for the time.

#17 Would you give all in a relationship?
Some sacrifices will have to be made, but I think just know where to draw the line lor.

#18 Who would you consider your best friend in your current occupation?
I don't know man. "Jesus, You are my best friend. You will always be. Nothing will ever change that!"

#19 What type of friends do you like?
Loving friends. For the definition of 'love', please check 1 Corinthians if i'm not wrong.

#20 How many questions have you changed?
I didn't even know that they can be changed!! I'm just like XY, never read instructions. LOL.

I'm not gonna tag anyone (:

Clique Outing

Something for my darling Loo Yee!!! Also known as Jacelyn! Can see the pic or not?

I remember telling a few people about how my entire family would be going to Malaysia without me on the enCOre/Vesak day weekend. That trip got postponed. They're going tomorrow instead, and I think they'll be back late on Sunday night. Yes, they're going. I'm staying behind because
  1. There's CO practice. I'm already missing next week's prac, which happens to be the last practice before the term exams. And if I don't turn up, there'll be 2 erhu players left now that we don't have the J2s with us. Only 2.
  2. Youth Ablaze. One of the rare chances for me to attend youth service since there's no combined practice tomorrow, I don't want to miss it.
  3. Maths tuition on Sunday.
  4. Cell is going for main service together on Sunday.
My life on Sunday after tuition is going to be so dull. So is my Saturday night unless the churchies go out to makan together. Someone ask me out quick :D
OLM where are you?!

--

Keating's song has been stuck in my head for the whole day, it's no wonder that I kept playing it on the piano. Ah it makes me emo too. I wonder why.

I went over to Charmaine's house yesterday, we abandoned our plan to go to Bishan because Hilary was sick and I overslept. Char's house is TOO comfy for work. Productivity level was less than 50%! I played with her dog, her rabbit, her stuff in her room, and just lazed around for almost the whole day. I only started focusing during the last 2 hours or so. Oh great job with the bubble tea Char!! Not bad for a first attempt!

Today Horse and I had math tuition at Macs. That Ryan injured his leg again -.-
Met up with the clique in the afternoon!! Planning to meet up has never been easier, everyone's like 'ok can make it'! Not like the usual 'cannot make it', 'see first', 'dunno' kind of annoying replies that you see each time you try to organise a group outing. Well DUH, being close friends they won't give that kind of answer!
So we went to AMK hub -.- Haha and we caught up with one another at Mos Burger.. All 6 of us are in different JCs and polys >.< (i typed more stuff here but it keeps disappearing)

Friend
: calls your parents by mr. and mrs.
Best friend: calls your parents dad and mom.
(not true. my parents are known as 'uncle' and 'auntie' to all my friends!)

Friend: has never seen you cry
Best Friend: has always had the best shoulder to cry on
(yes. omg. this is SUPER true. all who have seen me cry are indeed my best friends. or my very very close friends.)

Friend: never asks for anything to eat or drink
Best friend: opens the fridge and makes herself at home
(how about, everyone's so busy we barely have time to visit each other)

Friend: asks you to write down your number.
Best friend : they ask you for their number ( cuz they can't remember it)
(more like i'm the one who can't remember their numbers!)

Friend: borrows your stuff for a few days then gives it back
Best friend: has a closet full of your stuff
(closet..not really. but we don't return their items! e.g. piano scores and books ;) )

Friend: only knows a few things about you
Best friend: could write a biography on your life
=)

Friend: will leave you behind if that is what the crowd is doing
Best friend: will always go with you
(double =) )

Okay, I mugged with Chelsie today from 10 plus to 1 plus, went for lunch, came back at 2 plus, she went off, I mugged (but my thoughts kept straying... straying to??), Sara came at almost 5, Hilary and her friend Michael came after, he left at 6 plus, the rest of us went for dinner (only Hil ate), Sara went off, we got back to the library, SAT AT A TABLE AFTER BEING ON THE FLOOR FOR SO MANY DAMN HOURS, then library closed. The end.

What I covered:
Econs - Price ceiling, price floor
Geog - Block mountains, mid-oceanic ridges, case studies of Iceland and the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, started on convergent plate boundaries, oceanic trenches
Chinese - Read one page of 别离的故事,covered 6 oral topics?

Seems like a lot but it actually isn't...I just wonder how much of it actually got processed. I wonder. There's still so much that needs to be done, ahhh I haven't touch my holiday assignments. Darn. Darn. Darn.

Gonna be at the library before 10am tomorrow to join in the mass run to the 3rd or 4th floor to secure a table. But then again, the guys will all run faster, so I may not get a table.

I (L) all my girlfriends (:

Looks like my plan to go into OLevel-style mugging isn't working at all, I can't find anyone to mug with me from 10am to 9pm! I'd want to mug alone, but ppl will curse me for occupying a whole table (which can accommodate 4). Hilary can make it in the evening..at first I thought someone could be there, but.... Hmmmmm.

Maybe I should glue myself to the void deck and sit there from morning till night, returning home only for meals eh.. Sounds good?

I went back to PL to collect my SGC, that's when I saw Hillary :D

Then I went for SP open house with Pearlyn, and bleh there's really nothing to 'open house' about. Quite disappointing.. The turnout was rather pathetic too.
Met Daniel for awhile cos he missed me. haha.
Accompanied Sara to the library where she got her books returned, then we went to her studio where it's like her base class. All the arty farty stuff inside reminded me of Mr Leow (who tortured us poor sec 2 girls and got a number of parents' complain letters LOL).

Wasted trip to AC because Mr F's pigeonhole was missing!! The pigeons migrated with their hole ... and we were supposed to collect some compre or compo from there! I swear it I did look properly, I scanned through EVERY pigeonhole from A to G. His name starts with an A and his surname's F. Seriously...waste time, waste money!

Geog day!

If anyone's curious to know what my hand looked like at around 1pm today...The colours look a bit exaggerated, it's not that red actually. Made a slight improvement.. I can WRITE! And PLAY THE PIANO, I brushed up on Alla Turca today =)

Today's (yesterday's) physical geog repeat lecture was for those who couldn't make it for lecture last week. Only 2 rows out of the entire LT6 was occupied. Ang Ren and I were the only ones from our geog classs. Mr L was being crappy as usual... I mean, when there's a tsunami, you "tie yourself to a tree"??! Mind you, I quote that from our lecture notes.

I'm glad I actually stayed for human geog in the afternoon although I was the ONLY ONE from my geog class. Ren had training.. Mdm summarised our term 1 and 2 lectures (quick revision), and gave us essay outlines for some essay questions. I got some doubts cleared in the process.

crying out loud

Last night, or early this morning, I cried out to God while silently singing the song "Lover of My Heart" and typing a "letter" to Him. I just felt so, so depressed. What I typed is between me and my Daddy, it's confidential (: But after all that weeping there was a wave of peacefulness and I felt reassured that God is always there...what's lacking was communication.

Someone's making a weird noise outside and it's a female voice. It's creepy.

About twelve hours ago, I cried out AGAIN because I scalded myself with boiling water..
Janet and Sheena very kindly went to get the cream for burns while I continued to freaked out in the cafe, then they came back and Sheena helped apply that cream for me (ex-StJohn girl). It was stinging and burning, I don't know how else to describe the pain. It was so bad, I buried my face in Lay Cheng's shoulder, and wet her shirt with tears while Sheena worked on my right hand. Whoops. And then I tried to bear with the pain but it felt worse, and well...my eyes were red from further crying. Yikes. But it's many times better at the moment, although right now there's a scar on my hand and it still hurts. I can't hold a pen, I can't hold my erhu bow, I havent tried holding a toothbrush, I can't apply any pressure on the scarred area. I can move my fingers, though, hallelujah!

People should not let Irvin do first aid because during the break for combined practice (I obviously didn't play due to the pathetic state of my stiff and stinging hand), he almost helped me put some lotion from the first aid kit. ALMOST, because he asked Grace,

"How to put ah? Rub arh?"

I almost jumped out of the chair la. In the end Sheena did it for me again.
