THE time. has come!

on whooooole day! i'm finally home and blogging!
not about any ordinary day...
MUSIC MARATHON HAS STARTED.

THANK YOU
-the choir pianist for helping us with the transition thingy!
-to everyone who came and supported us! and the school!
especially the 3c2 girls, it was so encouraging to see y'all there!
valerie patricia melissa adeline madeline joey priscilla stacey missang tania ...!
hope i didn't miss anyone out? so so so so many people there...
and i saw Desmond there too. (haha the other bellers kept asking weird qns...)
and lots of old seniors!
-oh, thanks Jillian for lending Chris, Ethel and i money to buy water!

Opening was SO grand la!
Handbells did a fanfare when the GOH came in.
he gave a speech...
we were all preparing for THE moment, THE ring of the bell.
so he rang the bell...
Ethel, Christabel and I rang one line of the choir's song as an intro,
then 3 of us played He's Got The Whole World In His Hands together with the choir.
an OH OH OH THERE WERE DAMN ALOT OF PHOTOGRAPHERS CAN!
or is it alot of flashes? oh whatever, i only know we saw ALOT ALOT of camera flashes.
all this while.. i didn't know the stupid CNA cameraman was filming us...
i think we started off really well!

choir sang well too! well done!
it's not easy to sing for 30 minutes..
Sarah was at the end of the front row. haha!

and then the handbell girls came up again to ring bells and chimes for 30 mins.
i made countless mistakes lor
kept screwing! pain la... ring wrong bell, come in at the wrong time, timing went out...
some of them were super obvious la!
on the inside, i was like,
crap crap crap shit i forgot to ring
and the outside, perspiring profusely and trying to look as if everything's going on fine.
like so omg! so many mistakes!
but i dont think anyone knows until they come here, or else they must have very sharp ears.
and then the cameras were all flashing, still.
and then the stupid CNA cameraman kept filming the treblers! the high bells part!
ya he filmed everyone but he kept focusing on us la!
and i was secretly hoping he'd go and film the bass bells instead.
fag! fish! noob!
can you imagine, if he picked up our mistakes...?
thankfully, there wasn't any when he filmed us =)
anyway we've done our part and it's over. haha

...

after dinner with Ling Ying, Theodora and sec 2s Lim Xi, Charlene, Zi Qi, Sherry, Ling Cyen.
i was with LY and Theo at the chomp chomp bus stop, half dead.
one whole day leh of course wanna die la.
Valerie called me.

"Joyce! i saw you on TV leh! somemore they show your face very big lor! got show the George Yeo ringing the bell and then 3 of y'all ring and then show the choir.. but most of the time showing y'all 3... then got your face leh! very big! and they zoomed into your hand there show you ringing...!"

i tell you, i was practically screaming into the phone and the whole bus stop knew i had been on TV.
whoops... then some ppl msged me the same thing.
still
LIKE SO OMG LOR! THEY ACTUALLY
SHOWED THAT OPENING PART!
I SO WANTED THEM TO SHOW THE WHOLE GROUP
PLAYING TOGETHER LA!
not just 3 of us...
COS WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!
and... MY FACE??
walau...

i hope not many ppl i know were watching CNA at that time...
so maluating pls!!!!!!!
so OMG, i was ON TV....

alright enough of non-verbal shouting.
i. need. to. sleep!
sorry but the group which did their item after ours was kinda boring.
i could see that most of the people were walking away.
PRATA BLONG/BLING/BENG's GROUP!
WE WILL DO BETTER OKAY!

and amazingly, it wasn't as scary as i thought.
just keep focusing on the conductor...
and smile! make mistakes also pretend nothing happen!
today my vision was blurred, i dunno why...
so i couldn't see the scores properly also...
rang Ab when it was an A.
such an obvious mistake because of the look on the conductor's face.
heng ah, no long debrief otherwise all of us will kena.
because all of us were talking about the mistakes made,
right after we finished our 30mins.

ok. SLEEP.
and thank God that things are going on fine so far.
(to think that at this time, they are still going on at millenia walk)
do you think PL can break this 90-hour record of non-stop music?
i dunno. cos it's definitely not easy.

such were the thoughts.. between 2000 and 0040.
