If not... come to 1AA3's stall and look for me, I give you free roti john.

Hmm this is gonna be one long post.
I've just transferred some photos over from my N73 into my computer =D So here they are!

Cell bonding cum BBQ

Starting the fireWan Hui KO-ed firstDunno which dog this is????!!!Ah-maBirthday boy.. spot the differenceThey were being gay before that!!

Dinner after YPM equipping session on discovering your God-given gifts
My gifts are (don't laugh ok) 1. Giver 2. Server 3. Being a compassionate person.
So then the cell plus Cheryl and Denise went for Dinner at Kovan... AC (the file) and SA (the shirt) = NO PROBLEM.I don't see what's so fascinating about the TV. Very nice meh. It's just a black box with people moving about. Or maybe I've been too deprived of TV. Cause I only watch TV mobile. Serious!!

1S26 CLASS OUTING!!!
Finally, after a gazillion years! Even so, not the whole class turned up. There were only 9 people, including Yi Zhi the OGL. Got a lot more photos in my camera, charging its battery now in the kitchen. I know, of all places, why charge in the kitchen right.

Resting their feet at the arcade while the guys play elsewhere
Wah so expensive $101.35. Dinner for 8 at Harbour Front! Maybe it's not so expensive after all. The panda is emo-ing!! Yi Zhi's idea, to put the hairband on it...Yi Zhi's idea again, this time the panda's on the rocking horse. Then this little girl approached the duo... AWWW SO CUTE same size some more. The remaining 4 in the group. In other words, last to leave. Photo-taking skills fail la who ah?I know Hwee Yee is going to make noise when she sees this (above)
-.- all of us look like ????? Haha I think we're just tired. Dunno who still said want to go to St. Jame's.. Fine la got money everywhere also can go, but not all of us have so much money! Have money also never support me and help me buy AC Fun-O-Rama tics?!

Andrew Ong from the class msged us, he says Mdm R wants the money from the coupon sales. Oh no!! I only have like $80? I still have 12 purple slips of paper left. I tried selling them to the churchies and SR classmates but the response is poor =(

I've been putting up parts of my MSN conversations recently. And I have no idea why. But here's another one.

Belated Birthday Wishes

First up, belated birthday wishes again... I never seem to be able to do it on time. BUT. Doing it altogether is a lot easier. Gosh I'm blogging at such an unearthly hour.

17-year-olds

Smarties Tang, fellow BFC-er (for those who don't already know, it stands for Beautiful Feet Cell, my cell group in church). Thanks for those moments of hilarity (hope i'm using the word in the right context), cell will not be so lively without you!! I'll always remember your durian joke xD
Khoo Xi Ying, harpist, fellow OLM-er (O Level Music class) and more recently BFC-er. It's really sad that we can no longer travel to school together! =( We used to do this in sec 4 and during the PAE period at SR. Though I may not be able to go for Youth Ablaze for the next 2 years, I hope you will continue to go for service and bond with the rest of the cell! They are a really cheerful and cute bunch as you have found out for yourself during the last bonding. I also hope that you'll include God in all your decisions (I'm trying to do that myself), walk closely with Him and know that He will always be there for you! Thanks for hearing me out whenever I felt like complaining or getting high, you were a great listening ear!!
Joyce Lee, harpist, fellow ACSian, HUMANITIES SCHOLAR. I knew it. Given your excellent command in English and love for the arts, you soared on wings like eagles (haha) from PL to AC and now in the AH class. I salute you man!!! Yes, it'll be a waste for you to be in AC harp, but canoeing isn't the ideal CCA either. You should join swimming or track or something.

18-year-old
Jerome Loh, SRJcian, OGL of Cetus 4 for orientation 1. Loud, outspoken and warm orientation group leader.. Thanks for the advice when I was choosing my subject combination and when I was troubled over choosing a JC or poly after the release of O level results! Stop ogling at girls and focus on your A levels, I know you're capable of producing good results!

I found a picture of my OG in AC on someone's blog, I think it was Choon Min's. This was taken on the last day of orientation, the night of sweating and dancing. Some people are missing from here. They left earlier. I kinda miss these people although I wasn't very close to them.
AC's orientation was really hyped up. But then again, it's a happening college with an endless train of events...
Some group photos from the cell bonding last last week! I enjoyed myself tremendously when with these people. It was quite funny... we made it to Joe's place in 3 groups. Out of the 3 groups, 2 got lost -.- One of the groups (comprising of Sophia and yours truly) took a CAB from some unknown bus stop to United Square so we could buy a large black forest cake! I think that's my last time serving as birthday IC? Or I'll just msg random people in the cell to get them to plan something for the birthday guy/girl when his/her special day approaches. We celebrated Smarties and Xi Xing's birthdays on that day. The former had a bucket of ice-cold water poured over his head, the latter had cream smeared onto her face by the former! LOL is this confusing??
Joe's 2 dogs are the loveliest pets around! Awwww...

[Xi Ying] Yes, they already took down my shirt size for the CCA shirt! So I guess I'm in there already...And eh not really "longing" la just part of my plan so I'll at least have a sense of direction. lol. I miss you and the OLM people!!!
[hweeyee] WHEN'S OUR CLASS OUTING??????????
[huiling =D] sec 4 farewell! but i dunno whether I can go for it. We still have to buy presents for our juniors aahhhhhhhh.
[tara] you are?? no duh it's not just about tys, you have to understand the concepts and apply it. memorising without understanding will do you no good. spot topics/trends in questions for subjects like history, ss, geog. more importantly, don't do last minute studying like i did! cos' then you'll panic and feel the immense stress building up. you might crumble or go bonkers. haha. finally, pray hard!

first CO practice

[edit] copied and pasted from multiply [/edit]

Excuse me while I rant. I'm serious. RANT.

Blogger's being an ass so I have to blog here at multiply... I doubt the post would even appear at the blogger side la. What's the use of having the cross-post function when it doesn't even work?!

I am feeling quite lost at the moment..
I feel empty, I need God to fill my cup, I need it to overflow once again.
The thought of not being able to go for Youth Ablaze for the next 2 years just irks me. I'll miss my cell group like nuts!! I can only see them after 7.30pm on Saturdays.. or on Sundays for main service.
CCA... not like my first practice was very enjoyable..
Yes I know it's only a matter of time before I get assimilated into this CCA.. cos' currently nothing seems to be going right. Fine, maybe the only thing right is that they willingly took me in because they are short of players -.-
But I have to learn from scratch. Duh. I chose to go there. Picking up a new instrument is fun, though I never expected myself to learn this instrument!!! I loaned one from the college, it sounds out of tune (and I have no idea how to tune it), the bow thing needs rosin and I dunno where I'm gonna get it. Unless I try the rosin for violin.. I think I still have it.

Today I made my way down to school...
I was early, so I sat near the bleachers and read my bio guide book to kill time.
Shujun told me to go to LT2, but it was empty. I think he meant LT3. Being lost (as always), I wandered around outside the LTs and lifts.. then approached this group of girls and found out they're from that CCA. I found out where the instrument store was. -.- Shujun's section leader then got hold of me and showed me around the different sections, asking them to play a tune on their various instruments as a demonstration. Suddenly barging into those classrooms wasn't the ideal thing. Ok I'm exaggerating. Still, it was highly embarrassing. For I dunno what reason. Maybe it's because there were so many familiar faces from the overseas trip last year... and now I'm joining them..? I wonder what's going through their minds.
Sj's SL then deposited me at the classroom full of, well, people. I dunno how red I was, but my cheeks were definitely burning with nervousness and paiseh-ness. It was a horrible feeling, to have everyone staring at me as I moved quickly to an empty chair. I sat down. They whispered among themselves. Nice start huh. I should stop being so paranoid.

There were 2 J3s who, after a while, brought me to the back of the classroom and patiently introduced me to this new instrument. They were being really kind, showing me the right way to hold it, position my fingers, etc. They were friendly =D
Someone took down my shirt size for their CCA shirt.

pause.

What am I doing in ACJC in the first place??!?!!

un-pause.

Of course there were other nice people as well, like Nigel... who was making the effort to help me feel more at home.

Let's just say that I must be out of my mind, to agree to stay in that cca, that particular section, to agree to practice on that out of tune instrument which now lies silently in its case at my living room. Perhaps it's just me and my sensitive ears, I know it's only slightly out of tune. Still...
Tastes and preferences change over time. What I aimed for in sec 4 wasn't exactly realistic although now it does seem to be going according to my plan which I laid out last year. I dunno why I choose to stick to those goals. I'm just doing it. [edit] A detour, perhaps? Pastor Daniel's sermon on 9 March spoke to me. To blog about that will take up another post. [/edit]

JC life is all about independent learning. Sigh. Gotta stop relying on others! Gotta read up on a lot of stuff on my own, and now find tutorials on youtube for that instrument. Oh my gosh. March holidays aren't really holidays after all. I'll have to draw out a plan and follow it.

Got to include God in all my decisions. Got to join CF too in school I guess.Got to keep praying and reading the bible to satisfy that hunger.

You are my strength when I am weak
You are the treasure that I seek
You are my all in all
Seeking You as a precious jewel
Lord, to give up I'll be a fool
You are my all in all

Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name

Taking my sin, my cross, my shame
Rising again I bless Your name
You are my all in all
When I fall down You pick me up
When I am dry You fill my cup
You are my all in all

Outram Park MRT

Mas Selamat has been on the loose for eight days, and till this day there is still no news of him, no sightings whatsoever. I think. This feels as if we're part of a novel of some sort. E.g. JKR's Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban where Sirius Black, having escaped from Azkaban (wizard prison), had his face on posters stuck all over the wizarding world.

Do we question the capability of our police force in the island-wide manhunt?
hmmm...

Yesterday after my econs make up lecture, I took the MRT home. The usual route from Buona Vista to Outram Park to Kovan. But no, when the train was approaching Outram Park station, there was an announcement in the train advising commuters going to the NEL to take the Raffles Place-Dhoby Ghaut route instead of getting down at Outram Park. Everyone's facial expressions were either blank or had the classic Singaporean wah-what-happened-ah look. I didn't know whether to go ahead and get down at Outram Park. The train door opened at that station, and an announcement was heard from that station saying the same thing, that there was "an incident" at the station.

So ok, me being a 奉公守法的新加坡公民,did as advised. The crowd at Dhoby Ghaut was almost double its usual crowd. I should have just alighted at Outram Park instead. Why?

The "incident" was reported in the papers today, it made it to the front page of ST and TNP.
I might have caught a glimpse of the whole saga, I don't think the Outram Park station at the NEL side was closed at all, since it was reported in the papers that services functioned as per normal. Except that the body was being cornered off. Yea, typical Singaporean. The busybody.

Well it was rather interesting.. it's my first time being part of a train diversion! Sort of a diversion of route to Pungol/Harbour Front. Imagine, maybe I didn't have econs lecture yesterday, or if the lecture ended early... I may have witnessed the whole shooting... and get traumatized by it -.-

Piano exam

I miss my friends in SRJC!! Nowadays I'm just making random friends here and there... like, friend's friend's friend, and this J1 girl I met in the train one morning.. you get the picture. I haven't exactly found real friends to 'stick' to. Yes, I still feel like a newbie in AC. Still trying to settle down and adjust to the new environment. Still feeling
very
much

alone
there.

We got into our new classes yesterday, and my class looks like.. no comments... lest someone sees this and I get bashed up (then Germayne's would be right. NO WAY am I gonna let that happen).

I thank the OLM-ers and BFC-ers and some sec 4'07 handbellers for their support, expressed through MSN, SMS, friendster and the tagboard. =D

I prayed fervently, and my heart was racing prior to the examination. There was anxiousness in my voice as I greeted the Caucasian examiner.
Shit, just calm down la... and trust God as you always tell yourself.. Talking to myself in my head, yeah.
The examiner let me warm up my fingers at the piano, so I played a very distorted D major scale. Haha, thank God it was only a trial. She proceeded to test me on my scales and arpeggios, the first one being C major legato, hands together in similar motion. I thought, wow, I must be lucky. Scales were mostly alright except for the chromatic in thirds for left hand where I got my fingerings wrong, and a diminished scale (I played dominant 7th wtc (c = crap)).
Then of course there were the common slipping of keys, hitting the wrong keys, aiming wrongly at wide leaps of the pieces especially for The Puppet's Dance. I totally flipped as I played the wrong notes and expressions.
I think the sight-singing was the best part of the whole exam.
The last part of the aural component was the crappiest I think...

Anyway, it's OVER, that's three-quarters of a load off my back. I still have another quarter...

Should I go ahead and join that CCA???
What am I supposed to do? Now I feel as if I'm the one hiding in the shell, as I used to describe some of my previous classmates from 1S26...

AC Founder's Day

Yesterday was ACJC's founder's day celebration...

It was my first formal event I attended in AC. We sat in the hall for an hour just waiting for time to pass, so the guests and VIPs could stroll in at their own pace. That was just WAITING for it to start. The GoH took a long time to come up. It was very much like PL's...

... but rather boring. I had the 2 ACSI guys Sean and Paul for company. They said that the list of prize winners in their sec sch is much worse, cos' the school gives out the UYO awards on founder's day, together with the academic prizes. So usually by the time it reaches the last person on the list of award recipients, the audience would clap damn loudly.

The hall was freeeezing cold, many of us (or is it the 3 of us?) were putting up with the cold air throughout the service.

After the service, I went to catch The Eye movie with Lai Theng!! The movie was like an English version of the Chinese movie, The Eye. She was trying to cover her eyes LOL. I think overall was ok la, since I already roughly knew how the story was like.

(sleepy now zzzzz)

Joel's dad

I wore my AC uniform for the first time today.. It felt oversized! Like I mentioned in an earlier blog entry, the blouse (though smallest available size) was just huge.

Physical geography lecture seems to be the most enjoyable out of all the lectures I'm attending... The DM is our lecturer. It's a good and bad thing cos' he's LAME, humorous, and everyone laughs throughout the whole lecture! His geog notes rock too, more detailed than SR's, looks more professional too =D

I met up with Denise (Chia) before heading down for the funeral wake..

The memorial service for the late uncle R at Toa Payoh. I didn't expect myself to cry.. when uncle Joseph and Joel gave their eulogies, I just couldn't take it. I thought of how Joel has to cope without any parents or siblings, how uncle R and my dad were good friends and he'd always be so bright and cheery, how my parents said he had a pet shop at home (Joel said it was a jungle)... for those who have been to my house, I think they would have noticed the pond in the balcony. If not for uncle R, the pond wouldn't be there. He was so generous. He knew that my dad has this weird interest in fishes and he gave my pa the big black container which was then transformed into a pond with koi fishes (picture will be up another time). He also gave us this fake tortoise for decorative purposes which is currently residing in one of the fish tanks at home.

It's like a fragment of uncle R will always remain in my house. It is difficult to accept the fact that he's gone, he has left us to be with our Daddy above. At least we know he is now safe in heaven, void of all pain and suffering.

I feel like some emo freak but I'm not la ok. Lol.

Joel's dad

I remember receiving a PIO from the cell group, informing us to pray for Joel Chia's dad who is in ICU. Simon just told me that uncle R's condition has worsened.

Scyf3r says:
hey dear
Scyf3r says:
pray for joel chia's dad
Scyf3r says:
he's in icu
Scyf3r says:
very bad shape
Scyf3r says:
might not survive tonight
joyce says:
that bad??
Scyf3r says:
yeah
Scyf3r says:
been in hosp for more den a month le
joyce says:
i sent him an sms a few days ago to encourage him..
joyce says:
joel i mean
Scyf3r says:
got very bad recently
joyce says:
what exactly is his condition like now?
Scyf3r says:
erm
Scyf3r says:
last msg received from him is saying that the doctors are trying their best and that he might not survive the night
joyce says:
okay... sigh
joyce says:
must be very hard on joel
Scyf3r says:
kinda
Scyf3r says:
he isnt that close to his dad
Scyf3r says:
so it mus hafta hit him hard
Scyf3r says:
pray that his dad gets well and that he takes this chance to be closer to his dad

Joel does not have a mum, neither does he have any siblings. I wonder how he is coping now... Both father and son need God more than ever..

ACJC orientation

I bought my AC school uniform today at Bibi & Baba, Shaw Centre. The shop was crowded with JC1s from RJ, PJ, and AC. Anyway the total cost of 3 sets of uniforms plus a tie is $88+. I'd say that's ok because Jia Yan said one set of her ACSI uniform costs about $50. Crazy.

I got size 14 blouse (smallest size) and it's so freaking big..
I also bought a size M skirt which is still quite tight. Should have bought L instead!
First time wearing skirts that are not XS or S >.<

I was telling Xi Ying that when I prayed for those who appealed to other colleges, I did not pray that they will get a place in the college, but for God to place them in wherever He thinks is best for them. I was just prompted to pray in this way... It didn't seem right for me to pray for them to get into their desired college just because they want to. Many times we attempt to take matters into our own hands (without seeking God's help) and think we're invincible. Uh-uh. This links back to the sermon today.

So Jolene's appeal to SAJC was successful, so was Ken's appeal to ACJC. Haven't got news from the rest.

Many have been asking how's life in ACJC. Well... the 2nd day was a truly awkward one. The 2nd-intakers were assigned to different OGs, while the 1st-intakers stuck to their old OGs. So it was like everyone knew each other and were talking to each other while people like me found it hard to break the ice. I did make an effort to talk to them and ask questions but somehow it just couldn't turn out the way I expected. So yeah I was stoning for most of the day. I should have prayed for wisdom to say the right things and for everyone (myself included) to be friendlier, but I didn't. This is dumb, prayer is like the most essential thing in a relationship with the King! And yet I didn't seek Him..

Carol, my OGL, taught the mass dance steps but she went so fast, I couldn't catch most of it. The JAE people were at a disadvantage because we weren't around for PAE and so the dance seemed quite complicated. Ken said they had 4 days to learn it. Wth. And we 2nd intakers only had 2 days!

The 3rd day was crazy, and this time it was slightly easier to talk to the people in my OG.
We were supposed to have a campfire at night... But it started to drizzle when they were showing the photo slideshow. I found out from Paul that the rain was a lot heavier during the first orientation, and they did not get to start the fire at all. So it was an improvement for the 2nd orientation. The whole orientation ended off with everyone going high and dancing the mass dance, making long and wild human trains which ran out throughout the hall, making us all drenched in our own perspiration, soaking our shirts thoroughly.

I enjoyed the mass rallies! Where we did clan cheers and AC cheers to bond the whole cohort together =D Very effective I think. They kept asking us to "pack in" together so that the cheers could sound louder, also to "huddle up" where we had to put our arms around the 2 persons beside us. This is a bit gross as everyone's hot and sweaty from the scorching heat of the sun and the lack of personal space!

The activities planned for us in AC were many times more exciting than that in SR, though I very much preferred the company I had in SR. It's the people I was with who made all the difference...

So the moral of the post is: I miss SRJC!

By the way, I went back to the clinic today and the the x-ray report was negative. The doctor said there was an improvement in my condition.. (Praise God!) The reason why I cough for so long is because I have sensitive lungs. So she gave me more tablets and an inhaler. The inhaler looks cool. Lol.

JC appeals

I know, it's probably none of my business.. neither am I trying poke my nose into matters which do not concern me. How about this, I'm just expressing concern for my friends... These are the ones who are unhappy with the JCs they are posted to, and are desperate to get to somewhere else. There is nothing I can do except to pray for them and perhaps tell them that they have my support, I definitely will not want my friends to end up sulking for the next 2 years. I could, of course, tell them to accept it and move on, make the best out of whatever they have now. After all, at the end of the day, it all depends on the individual, whether or not he or she makes it to the university. It's all in the mind and the way they think, really. I could try and make them change their perceptions.... and risk being told off by them. I can imagine it already. ("ya la, you got into the school of your first choice, talk so much for what?!")

Just some thoughts now.

Orientation starts tomorrow. Today's programme was nothing much, just talk after talk. At least we get to sit on chairs in AC, unlike SRJC where we sat there till we got butt cramps.

JAE posting results

Well basically I'm too drowsy to type but I insist I must at least type something. Haha.. That bloody syrup (colour is close to red) is driving me nuts, it says "may cause drowsiness" but the effect lasts for like more than 12 hrs?

Here's what happened. My cough got really bad in the morning, it was thick with phlegm and I would cough till I felt like puking. Have been coughing since December last year, you see... So it's a cause for concern. I visited the doctor last night and she said I have bronchitis/early stage of asthma. My lungs (is is lungs?) are clogged up or something.. Since I have been in contact with family members who had tuberculosis (TB) before, there was a possibility that I could get TB. So I was required to go for an x-ray and return to the clinic again on Friday night or Saturday morning.

Now I'm on medication for bronchitis >.<

Am I happy with my posting? AM I? Seriously, I dunno.. haha. But since the cut-off point is lowered and I'm still at the college of my first choice, I'll just thank God and live as it is. AC then AC lor. Just make the most out of everything!! Same goes to friends who took their O levels in 2007.. I'm sure God has great plans for everyone of us!

Some photos now, we ponned science practical yesterday to go for lunch at Pizza Hut at Kovan
It was my FIRST TIME skipping a lesson ok. I am disgusted by my own actions. But we really didn't see any point in going for the 2-hr class.. not like she was going to teach anyway. One thing for sure, this will not happen in the future! 1S26 girls all the way!

We went back to school for PE lesson because we love our PE teacher Ms Ng. =D Netball wasn't this exciting back in sec 2! 1S25 girls you were a fun bunch of people to be with... too bad we only REALLY talked on the last lesson ..Not many people turned up today.. ah well. 1s26, LOVE Y'ALL HEAPS ALTHOUGH WE NEVER GO CLASS OUTING AT ALL HAHAHA. Derek go plan leh...
Finally to Daniel and Ken... (honoured or not? I mentioned the 2 of you leh!)
Will y'all stop being so retarded on MSN? Get a LIFE man! But haha it's your retardedness which hypes things up. Nice talking to you two today!

God bless, people!

lost in emotion

The whole PAE thing is coming to an end... and it's only now that I realise how much I love 1S26.
I don't want this to sound too cheesy, but that's how it is!
My class is really interesting, you'll see its people with completely different characteristics.
Some are the loud and outspoken kind, while others prefer to sit quietly and watch.
Otherwise known as 'hiding' in their own shells and being restricted to their own bubble, or unwilling to step out of their comfort zone, of which I will not point out who.

[edited Feb 18, 7:25PM] Wah got so many grammatical errors!!! [/edit]

We haven't had an official class outing yet.. We did plan to go to East Coast Park, however, due to poor response, that day's outing was cancelled at the eleventh hour.
I am trying to make my class to either go for dinner together on Monday after our PE, or go for lunch after our dismissal on Tuesday.

TUESDAY IS MY LAST DAY IN SR!! =(

I didn't know Jolene was so vulgar until yesterday. Being exhausted, I rested my head on my arms which were folded on the the canteen table. Ok, I took a short nap. I was then woken up by JOLENE TAN cos' of her F words... Really, I'm sensitive to these words!! She was talking to dunno who and who, then the F words shot out from her mouth (she was sitting beside me). I decided I could not bear it and whacked her with my book soon after. Oops.

Valerie (Tan) is vulgar too.. I don't know how I put up with her crude words for so long! She's a lot more vulgar and fiercer than Jolene. Scary!

Sorry, but I just cannot tolerate such things!

We hated GP, or rather, we hated the GP teacher until we had the short series of debates. The first one was on a topic of homosexuals being allowed to marry, the most heated debate out of the 3 we had. Derek and Germayne were comical to a certain extent, the way they argued their point across was absolutely hilarious. The second motion was about abortion being banned or something like that, and in my opinion was the most peaceful debate ever. The third and final debate o was about promiscuity being unacceptable outside marriage. I would say that the topic was vague (many scenarios for "outside marriage") and difficult for the opposition team. Jolene and I were the proposition for this one, obviously we won the debate hands-down. It was no easy feat for the opposition team. I mean how can anyone say promiscuity is acceptable outside marriage? It's not even acceptable INside the marriage, what more outside?

Anyway, halfway during the debate, we went slightly out of point and all.. Germayne and Darius agreed that sex was their food, something like they can't live without it. I was horrified la!! Like omg now we know what lies beneath their innocent faces.

Today, I mean.. yesterday, the bio lecturer sped through the topic of biochemistry of carbohydrates. She covered the entire topic within TWO short lectures! It's no wonder that I'm not catching any ball (haha) and Yasmin got so bored she slept throughout the lectures. Hearing the lecturer's voice for a long period of time will seriously bore one to sleep.

I'M SO SLEEPY NOW I'M DRIFTING INTO DREAMLAND!

CNY photos

I'm so sleepy... Spent slightly more than an hour on the log and ln thing, re-did the examples given in the lecture notes and tutorial. I CAN'T BELIEVE I ACTUALLY SAT DOWN TO READ THROUGH. Cos' I haven't been studying and revising. It's just (1) step into the house after school ---> (2) plop on the sofa for a nap ---> (3) dinner ---> (4) bathe ---> (5) piano ---> (6) turn on the computer. Luckily we have biblegateway.com =D which makes things easier sometimes.

On Saturday morning, Hilary, Chelsie and I went to Fiona's house for CNY visiting.
Hilary FORGOT TO BRING ORANGES. What a joke. HAha. Fio's mum kept telling the former off for not being a good host -.- I think she's very good already lor!
And then Xi Ying, Fiona, Hil and I went to Hil's house. Her mum prepared lunch for us! Meals at Hi's house are always something to look forward to, I don't really like to eat rice with small portions of veggies e-v-e-r-y s-i-n-g-l-e day for e-v-e-r-y m-e-a-l. Of course, there was the cam-whoring! I was so afraid that I'd be late for worship prac.. But Hil's dad gave me a lift to church so I wasn't late in the end. Like, woah, go to her house bai nian get ang pao eat lunch still got her dad to drive me to church... HIL'S FAMILY IS TOO KIND!
Andy Quek led worship so yes Jia Yan and I strained our voices to suit his voice range. This guy is somewhere between a tenor and counter-tenor.

I blogged about the sermon and some extra stuff, about what happened after service but I made that post private =)

The next day, Sunday, slightly more than half the cell group went to Joe's house to bai nian. We stayed there from 4 plus all the way till night, playing games like taboo, warewolf and homo! Homo.. I think it's spelled like that. Joe's 2 dogs are a good source of entertainment xD they're so cute!! Iris didn't bring her oranges -.- and she totally freaked out when the dogs ran around the house. Most of the photos are with Jacelyn, we're all waiting for that woman to upload them! Haha. I only have these:
We'll look nicer if we point our toes, lol
This is our my last week in SRJC... =( I'll miss the college!!

Piano exam

The thought of next month's piano exam sends chills down my spine. This will be my last practical exam IF I manage to pass it, IF I decide not to move on to a diploma.

For now, I MUST stop playing external pieces!! I MUST practice my scales diligently EVERY day until 4 March! I MUST keep practicing for my aural! I MUST practice the 3 pieces (Scarlatti's Sonata in A minor, Kp 175; Clementi's Allegro con spirito: first movement from Sonata in G mionr, Op 7 No. 3; Martinu's The Puppets' Dance) till they sound perfect when it comes to accuracy of notes, dynamics, expressions, pedaling, accents/slurs/phrasing, and interpretation of the pieces!

Darn it.. Joyce, STOP PLAYING EXTERNAL PIECES UNLESS YOU ARE PRACTICING YOUR SIGHT-READING SKILLS!!!!

Just Let Me Say

Just Let Me Say
Geoff Bullock
Key: F
Verse 1:
F C/E Dm Dm/C
Just let me say how much I love You
Bb/C Bb C F/D C/E
Let me speak of Your mercy and grace
F C/E Dm Dm/C
Just let me live in the shadow of Your beauty
Bb/C Bb C C/Bb
Let me see You face to face
Am Dm Dm/C
And the earth will shake as your Word goes forth
Bb/G Bb/F C/E F/D C
And the heavens can tremble and fall
F C/E Dm Dm/C
But let me say how much I love You,
Bb C F
Oh my Savior, my Lord and Friend

Verse 2:
Just let me hear Your finest whispers
As You gently call my name
And let me see Your power and Your glory
Let me feel Your Spirit's flame
Let me find You in the desert
'Til this sand is holy ground
And I am found completely surrendered
To You, my Lord and Friend

Verse 3:
So let me say how much I love You
With all my heart I long for You
For I am caught in this passion of knowing
This endless love I've found in You
And the depth of grace, the forgiveness found,
To be called a child of God
Just makes me say how much I love you,
O my Savior, my Lord and Friend

My Music Education

2007 was a year of tears and much unhappiness for me, o level music wise.
There were many instances whereby I felt so close to giving up. I wanted to simply drop the subject and forget about it. It was demoralising, especially when I failed my mid-year music exam. I remember myself crying like shit because it was like, music was my second best subject in sec 3 and I actually FAILED it.

But no, I didn't drop music. I had plans to absent myself for the music practical and listening paper though. Plans which were not carried out in the end. Music, being an additional subject, was a burden which I had to lug with me until O's were over. All that chionging during the O level period will always remain fresh in my mind, haha. We would torture our fellow PL lites by making them put up with our horrendous playing (the Brahms duet!) which was put on 'repeat' mode. It was outright stressful. While everyone else was busy studying for their science/maths/humanities, we had an extra music on our shoulders. I dunno about the other OLM-ers, but that definitely stretched me to the max.

Turned out that all the sweat and tears paid off.. An A2 was printed on my result slip for music =D Praise God.

Now what?

My grade 8 practical is less than a month away. Another round of stress is settling in. My scales are still so screwed, aural is just crap, and my 3 exam pieces aren't sounding good either. * Sigh* I really want to get at least a merit! For ONCE! My grade 4 to 7 exams were merely passes!

I will draw out a plan soon. For now, just keep disturbing my neighbours! Practice for a minimum of 2 hours a day! They are suay to have me as a neighbour. Well... Too bad =P When will I ever get a silent piano?!

I need a maths tutor. I don't understand a thing of what's going on in lectures! And that's just H1 maths. Do I suck, or is the lecturer speeding like a bullet train?

Clission partly Clacomplished

I'll just say, if not for Germayne, I wouldn't have noticed... ...
---

I feel accomplished =)
During band today Wen Yi taught me some fingerings for the clarinet.
And I managed to finger more than 2 octaves! Thank You Jesus! (i said 'finger' and not play because I can't hit the high notes yet.) It was only my 3rd or 4th time touching a woodwind instrument.. and the sound I tried to produce was steadier than last week's. *pats myself on the back* I felt so lousy during the other band sessions because I struggled S O M U C H to just produce a SOUND.

skipped class outing

(photos in this post were taken with a Nokia N73)

First up, HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY CHELSIE! You're joining the post-OLM!
And, HAPPY 17thBIRTHDAY ANDREW! I hope you've stopped calling me you-know-what.
And, HAPPY 17th, D SEN! Haha but he won't see this.
Also, HAPPY BELATED 19th, MELVIN (SOO)! I only just got to know you.

I gave class outing a skip for the following reasons:

1. I had already agreed to go for YJC's carnival with the OLM girls to support Hilary. I couldn't go back on my word.
We reached just in time to catch her singing with the choir.
2. Not many people could make it.

3. I didn't want to miss Youth Ablaze. I mean, duh. God blessed me with good results, the least I could do was turn up in church. XY, Fio and I rushed down in a cab from Bishan. Haha.
Worship was different, somehow... It was a mixture of emotions and tears. Yeah, tears again. This time from being thankful. I felt that Melvin (Goh) picked the right songs for worship because they really expressed how I felt.
"Give thanks to the Lord, our God and King. His love endures forever... ... Forever God is faithful" This was just one of them.
Something made me put in extra money into the offering bag that day, and I put five times the amount I usually give for tithes. (which was a blessing in disguise, because later for reunion dinner my grandfather gave me money.. five times the amount i dropped into the bag)

Yeo Mei was telling me that I don't have to worry about not fitting into ACJC (something along that line).. when I remembered how I used to dream of getting into that college. But after the preliminary exams, I started to get discouraged. I mean, 20 points, and I want to go to AC? Impossible. I didn't think I could get below 12 points. I was set on entering a poly to do accountancy.. or even staying in SRJC, after enjoying my first week there. I was sure that that was the route I wanted to take. The poly route.

Then the results came out. I got the shock of my life. Ok not of my life but you get it.
I was dazzled by the many options given, everything was (and still is, actually) a blur. Anyway, to cut the long story short, I feel that God has given me the green light into ACJC because He has made what seemed impossible, possible. I kept saying that I'd try AC if I got 12 points and below. Well, He gave me more than what I expected. His calling to put the college as my first choice, perhaps.

The night before the release of the O level results, I dreamed that I got 13.5 points. Strange, but that was printed in the MOE letter. What's up with the point five?
Turned out that 13.4 was the school's average L1B5, language 1 best 5. Maybe God was telling me not to worry so much about the results because everyone did well, me included. It was a reminder to trust Him, as I was determined to do since the middle of O's. If I had trusted Him wholeheartedly, I wouldn't have cried so much.

I can be the next fortune teller. Haha, I'm kidding.

When I told Wen Xin I might be going to ACJC...

wincy. says:
the difference in ac is that peer pressure is probably of a different level. i think you get what i mean. looks, brains, money?
wincy. says:
im not judging. i infer this from all ive heard and know.
wincy. says:
if you think you can learn well in sr, its fine.
wincy. says:
in poly, it'll be harder for most of us because the people you meet are miles different from Pl lites
wincy. says:
and cause we're from a girls' school.
wincy. says:
trust me, it is gonna be hard. and of course, due to our beliefs.
wincy. says:
BUT, i just want to you that if you have a course you love and want to take, give it a shot.
wincy. says:
i feel that a lot of stuff we study in poly are actualyl very useful. like effective oral communication and writing.
wincy. says:
every thing we need in future society.
wincy. says:
*want you to know that

Sigh, this ain't helping. Getting more perplexed by the moment.. I don't want to take a wrong step and regret it for the next 2 or 3 years...

2007 GCE 'O' Level Results

It's a miracle.

Seriously.

All glory goes to God because I couldn't have done it without Him.
It's not about being humble or modest or anything...
He has poured forth His blessings on me, it's so much, it overflows.

The PL teachers really cared for us and put their heart and soul into helping us with the O's.

So much for all that crying before the release of the results. Haha =)

---------------------

A lot of people gave school a skip today. 1S27's class attendance was only 4. Sad case!
Our class wasn't too bad, 12 people turned up. HAHAH.
The girls even wanted to pon GP! But we didn't la, we were deliberately late for class by walking past the classroom where Jolene's crush was at -.- She kept making me look in to see where he was sitting at. But the first person I noticed was our OGL? Cos' his orange spectacles made him easy to spot (another -.- face now)
When we finally walked into the GP venue, one of the guys said they covered up for us girls by telling the teacher that only 4 turned up today. lol? We didn't get scolded by the teacher =)

Then most of the PL lites in SRJC gathered to take a photo and proceeded to heartland mall for lunch. It was like, wah PL reunion at the mall. There were so many '07 sec 4s.
Lunch was at KFC with the 4B1 and 4B2 people ( i was the extra 4c2 but they didn't seem to mind)

PL canteen.
We sat around there, waiting for time to pass...
Then Mrs Lee announced the different percentages over the PA system..
MSG is 13.4, 94% qualified for JC, 100% qualified for poly. That's for sec 4 express.
She went on to talk about the value-added subjects, how e maths wasn't well done. I didn't hear her say the part that the sec 5 normal girls were the ones who didn't do well for maths.
At that time, I was already fighting back my tears.
What if I was part of the 6% which didn't meet the JC criteria? I was damn scared la.
The whole school then sang To God be the Glory from all their different locations.
Immediately after that I dunno why I let fear grip me and I kept thinking about the worst... keep crying sia. Many thanks to the friends who tried to console me, especially Xi Ying!!!

Outside the hall.
My mind was blank. I didn't know what to expect. Time seemed to crawl.

Inside the hall.
Mrs Lee showed us the statistics, and she was smiling as she talked.
Well basically all the teachers were overjoyed. =D
The form teachers started releasing the results at around 2.30pm.
My index number was 19, so I had to wait. And wait.
There were butterflies in my stomach, so many, I felt queasy from all that suspense.
When it was my turn, Mrs Ong showed me the wrong result slip -.- At first I saw 6 As and 1 B, then I screamed.. and she realised it was the wrong slip. Then Mrs Ong took out my result slip.
like,
oh
my
gosh
I shouted for joy again upon seeing the grades. And then my eyes became red and I felt the tears making their way out of the tear glands, out of my eyes. An involuntary action!! It felt great, as if I had just won some lucky draw. Hmm actually it was way better than that!
Then there was a lot of commotion among my classmates who were waiting to see my reaction. Hahah.

Well 4C2 '07, WE DID WELL!!!! Mrs Ong is proud of us =)

I hugged and got hugged by many PL lites today, so many that I've lost count. lol
Today was like some crying day, I have no idea why I cried so much. In the end it's like, worry for nothing.

My parents were over the moon... my mum even SMSed me to say she couldn't concentrate on her work -.-

Phone calls and SMSes kept coming in, all asked the same question. Results.

Charmaine, Hilary, Jia Yan and I stayed back in school to eat and talk..
Then Char left and we went to look for Ms Tan before moving off. She wasn't there, so we talked to Ms Kok instead. My favourite maths teacher! (Never do homework, sit outside the class. Still must copy the homework 7 times)

I left my wallet on the bus and these 2 very kindly alighted at Kovan, waited for me to walk over to get it from them. I am SO grateful!! Or I'd be wallet-less. Thank God for JY and Hil!
Yes I know, my bad. I keep dropping things. Wallet some more.

While walking back to heartland mall via the MRT station, I bumped into Yi Zhi. He's like the first senior I poured out my joy to, face to face! I was still very high then so yeah. If I remember correctly, he said he had 16 for prelim and 14 for O levels so he stayed in SR. He also asked me to take KI (knowledge and inquiry), this guy is crazy.

Back to the same question.
POLY OR JC?!?!?!?! I think I'll be able to make it to university via both routes.
TP, NP, ACJC, SAJC, CJC or SRJC? Oh no. I thought I won't do very well so I had plans to remain in SR. But God blessed me with something I did not expect at all...
Ms Tan even SMSed to say she's proud of me lol. This is one wordy post.

Aaaah God help me again!

Waiting with Baited Breath

Things change.

People come and go.
Melody has left for further studies in Canada.. And God knows when she'll be back again. I told myself not to cry at the airport but it wasn't of any use.
Hwee Yee and Huilin chose to withdraw themselves from SRJC, and the loss of these two kinda made an impact on me. It's like something's missing.
After Wan Hui's grandmother passed away, her other grandma has been showing signs of weakness too. The only thing we can do now is pray...

Adaptability.
I have to accept certain facts, move on and stop dwelling on the past cos' that's not going to help.
I have to stop relying on my own strength (as if i have any) and trust God instead. He will help me to transit smoothly into the next educational institute I get posted to.
I have to, I must.

just a week away from o level results

Kevin, you're wrong, I'm having doubts about my O level results!!!

Wah wah Valerie and Darius, who ask you to sleep during geog lecture?!

1 PSP need a lot of people to play hor?
Never see PSP before.
Dwayne don't be so extra!
The so-called twins, act shy only. A sharp contrast to the pic above.

Relaxed college life like this will not last for long =( Going to step into another phase of my education, currently stuck in a dilemma, AGAIN.
JC or poly?!

Good news

Today, while waiting for the rain to stop after school, we saw our previous OGL (cetus 4 for academic orientation). We then grabbed him and made him take a photo with us. It looks like a FORMAL photo, Deborah and I are like the odd ones out!Top row: paya lebar mgs, tanjong katong girls', kuo chuan presbyterian, north vista
Bottom: chung cheng high, monfort, serangoon sec, serangoon jc

I've gained slightly more than 1 kg! I now weigh 43.6kg! W00ts..
Better watch my diet now, I won't want to lose any more weight or add more to it. =D

There was some sort of drama during H1 maths lecture at LT5 today.
It was my first time seeing this sort of heated argument 'live' before my very eyes.
I mean, I only see it on TV... shall not elaborate further or expose the identity of that student.
All I can say is, that was REALLY dramatic. Comical to some extent.

I got confused with the calibration for biology practical, confused with the H1 maths (didn't take add maths in sec sch), confused with the damn Chinese!!! Econs and geog I think still can manage.

Ms Woo appointed the class rep, assistant class rep, treasurer, econs rep, chinese rep, history rep, geog rep, bio rep, physics rep today.
I didn't want to get picked, so I sat there and kept my mouth glued. At least that worked today.
=D

New Class

the class' girls with OGLs.. which is like a lot of us
My new class (1S26 / Orion 7) isn't exactly enthusiastic and energetic as the original Cetus 4.
It's like we're all scattered and distant individuals though we may look like one joyful class with our OGLs in the above photos. All that glitters is not gold!
The amazing race and other games were just weird cos' most of us were unwilling to crawl out of our shells and a sense of unity was absent in the class.

A few of them wanted to have dinner, so I went.. and I didn't know that some from cetus4 also went for dinner. Ne'er tell me... >.< Neh mind, at least I got to know my classmates better! The 5 of us from 1s26 went to McDonald's for dinner. We sat there for what, 3 hours?? And talked.. One thing we agree to do is to make our class more united and break that barrier which is preventing us from freely talking to one another.
Macs that night was dominated by SRJCians, some were there to study and the rest of them were OGLs and councilors. Somehow the 2 groups got so excited they started yaking away and the OGLs even did cheers -.- The noise level was like worse than PL and Yuying (nearby sec schs) students combined! And I'm not exaggerating.

Went back to PL for CCA fair, and I must say that this year's isn't as exciting as previous years'.
The handbellers were better than when I last saw them perform =) got improvement la.
Except for the missing/uneven notes, no contrast in dynamics, unstable tempo... where was the conductor??
Can smile so nicely in the group photo with the alumni (gosh I'm old), why cannot smile when performing? By the way, I've uploaded more photos to yahoo groups, if any of y'all are reading.
Speaking of CCA fair, SRJC's CCA Bazaar was scary, a group of canoeing guys and a track and field guy were fighting for attention from Denise and I. They were debating before our very eyes, literally dragging us to their booths as they rashly promoted their CCAs. I wanted to run away but I couldn't, haha.

Mrs Wong was pleased to see half the sec 4s '07 come back to PL =) I miss PL, I miss handbells, I miss the teachers! Even the canteen auntie knows I've graduated, and I was wearing the handbell shirt. I'm so touched man. She asked me where I'm studying at =/.

Cetus 4 before we split into different classesTell me why I felt so lost when D Sen asked all of us to give a short speech about our ambition or what we want to do in the future...

Dear God, SRJC, or poly? Accountancy, or music? I've already narrowed my wants down to these already, I'm putting ACJC out of my list. Neh mind the 2 affiliation points if I EVER get 12 pts and below. Choices... I think this is actually when supply exceeds my demands. No opportunity cost whatsoever. I am so so so so so luan4. What exactly is in store for me? All I see now is a huge 'road block' that reads 'uncertainty'. I've already told myself to just trust God.. but ultimately, I'll have to come to a decision. My previous post depicts how I really feel now. And yesterday.

Ambition? What ambition?

Why is it that I'm striking off ACJC, you ask.
Isn't it all thanks to my present college? AND my OG?
I mean this group is unique and all...
And the tutors here are great... Sample lectures were enjoyable...

Ok, I'll talk about the present instead. I'm posted to 1S26. I am not ready to meet my new class yet. But I shall be reminded of Pastor Lawrence's sermon last year, picking the good out of the mixed bag. Basically it means to count your blessings la. And to adapt to difficult situations though I know this actually isn't difficult at all. Like Michael and Kenneth (Gan) said, just go and make friends man.

Sorry I don't feel like replying tags yet. haha.

My Future, I Surrender

My Jesus, I'm found in You
You're my Saviour
You chose me before the world
And You call my name

I will go with You through the valley
I will soar above every mountain
I will trust Your word deep within my heart
I will live for You

Cos' I know my future's in Your hands
All of my hopes and dreams and plans
You give me strength to live and faith to succeed
I believe in You because You believe in me

I'm giving You my heart and all that is within
I lay it all down for the sake of You my King
I'm giving You my dreams, I'm laying down my rights
I'm giving up my pride for the promise of new life

And I surrender all to You, all to You
And I surrender all to You, all to You

I'm singing You this song, I'm waiting at the cross
For all the world holds dear -- I count it all as loss
For the sake of knowing You, for the glory of Your name
To know the lasting joy, even sharing in Your pain

Worship team bonding, JC orientation

Friday, Jan 4, 3rd day of school

Clara didn't go to school cos' she went for some tooth extraction =(
Paulina came only to hand in the form, then she went back cos' she was sick =(

We started off by going to one of the classrooms so our lovely OG tutors (Ms Au and Mdm Pitra) could settle the administrative stuff like looking through our choices for our subject combinations.
There was SO much time, Deborah and I got sleepy, so we put our heads on the tables and slept -.-

We went for break as a group again, which is good cos' it's like something we do on our own accord.
Y'know, other JCs make it a must to have the group eat together and here we're given the freedom to look for our own sec school mates and makan. Wah, I'm so proud of my group haha even though we're not THAT close yet.
After that we went to the toilet as a group AGAIN. LOL. That's why I love cetus 4. I said earlier that we're not THAT close.. yet when 2 or 3 people visit the toilet, the whole group waits for them outside! This is something you don't see (or at least I haven't heard of it) in other groups! Which makes us stand out =)

Then... then we had the college dance.
The girls in my OG went to spread out, stand in one line and wait for a partner to appear. I find this funny. (come on people, laugh, laugh.)
My partner was Wayne =) After hearing some not very nice experiences from Alexia (her partner doesn't know how to hold her hand properly) and Hilary (from YJC, she said her partner had terribly sweaty palms), I think Wayne rocks. Haha cos' he's neither.
The steps are actually rather simple, but somehow we just can't seem to remember the whole thing. For example, ppl like me who gets distracted and keeps doing it wrongly and must depend on the partner especially for the holding hands part which is like, almost the whole dance. Oops.

We then got to the basketball court together with half the freshmen population. Cetus 4 picked a shady spot and was saved from the scorching heat of the sun (: Jerome joined us only after we've settled down as he was looking for Ben (Yeo Mei's partner) who had disappeared to the toilet for a long time after the dance. We suspected that he went into hiding -.-
The orientation committee (if there's one) must have run out of ideas because we played POLAR BEAR. It's similar to the one we play in church. Well anyway polar bear has no link whatsoever to the villagers and polar bears and the fortune teller. I mean huh, polar bear can go to a village meh? Woah! Now THAT's something!
We also played Murderer, the squeezing hand one. I was the murderer with Jack. Haha, we kill until very shiok. Never get caught. Just act innocent =)
The OGLs from cetus 1-4 taught these 4 groups some cheers. That was cool, especially the one with the girls' screaming xD What's not cool is that they put us in OGs, we become so bonded, and are later forced to split into different classes based on our subject combinations. Tsk.

School ended at 12:30pm!! Other JCs don't get this kind of privilege =P It's mainly cos' our orientation stretches till next Friday. So the fun doesn't just end in 3 days. Really, thank God for SRJC!

Saturday, 5th Jan, Worship Team Bonding

We started out by having some ice-breakers prepared by the sec 3s. I mean, sec 4s (oh man I'm old, i'm no longer a sec 4) Sarah and Abigail. The forfeits were lame but we did have a good laugh seeing everyone do their ka-chings xP

James led everyone in worship.. What's a worship team bonding supposed to be without worship? Haha. It was relatively refreshing, to worship God with just a guitar as accompaniment and not an entire band. It's like "coming back to the heart of worship".

Boon Yeow then shared some stuff with us from Genesis and reminded us of our mission as a worship team... also that we are first a Christian, then something else.

I will continue the update another time.. i'm so sleepy now, i'm dozing off in front of the monitor. will upload the bonding photos onto the youth ablaze worship multiply account.

JC orientation

Day 1 of the orientation was like ???
XY and I alighted from 113 outside the college and what greeted us was a colourful sight.
As expected.
A HUGE group of different sec school students waiting for their friends.

All the 'freshmen' (as they call us) gathered at the hall, which was a moment of awkwardness for one and all..
IT WAS SO QUIET, NOBODY WAS TALKING.
A sharp contrast to PLMGSS.
I was talking to Clara (PL) and Yeo Mei (cell grp) in my group in hushed tones, then I gave up.
Because apart from the OGLs at the front, nobody else talked. Everyone simply stared at the councilors and OGLs with blank looks.

According to the principal, SR's cut-off point (COP) was 19 for the PAE intake for both arts and science courses. Average was 16.5 omg.
Improvement leh. Those who had 20 points without CCA points got in through appeals.
Yeah, people actually appeal to SRJC. Surprise, surprise!
They're not THAT bad la.

Side track...
I really treasured 2007, as my last year in PL...
I sang the school anthem even though nobody else around me was singing. (last year leh)
This school has a special place in my heart. I love everything about it from the culture to the teachers to the food to the friendships forged.
By "culture" I mean the morning devotions and singspirations.. When I could have some personal time with God as Mr Tang used to tell us to have a minute of silence for individual prayers.
Here it's just "college at attention, the national anthem. ... the pledge. ... College at ease, please take a seat." No more "lets pray". It's a blessing to be in PL. Classes of 2008, do treasure every moment of your time spent in PL!

The principal and teachers in SR kept scaring us by emphasizing on the hectic life of a JC student and how breaks in between lectures and tutorials were not time for us to relax, but time for catching up of school work.
I don't think I wanna stay here... Hello poly.

Here in SR they start with the more boring stuff (subject talks) first, and push all the real fun to the end of next week, as the OGLs and OG tutors say.
I think my group, cetus 4, has the most interesting OGL in the house. His name is Jerome.
He talks damn loudly and was trying to tell us the muah chee story in the hall (other grps were listening as well) but had to stop and tell us at a later time during the break cos' there wasn't enough time.

My group is quite ok la.. got a number of jokers, aka the guys...
We played whacko and the blanket game yesterday where I was the last surviving member. Also played some longest line as suggested by D Sen. Unique name, yeah. Got video of them doing forfeit =D
We're quite united, today we went to the toilet as a GROUP. HAHAH.

There was an attire check yesterday.. I wore my altered pinafore which is like at the knee, in PL sure get caught for proportion. My hair's over the first pinafore line but don't need to plait =P
I passed the attire check! In PL sure fail.
Needless to say, many guys got issued with warning letters for their hair.
lol damn cool.

There's college/mass dance tomorrow, and the instruction given was to wear PE attire.
But PL's PE attire isn't exactly pleasing to the eye, you know.
Some SR PL lites were then debating over what to wear -- House T-shirt, PL-lite shirt.

valerie says:
heyy
valerie says:
wear PE shirt
joyce house shirt or PE shirt?? says:
haha why leh
valerie says:
cause can air armpits
joyce house shirt or PE shirt?? says:
-___-

then we continued to talk

valerie says:
hey babe
valerie says:
i gtg now
valerie says:
see ya
valerie says:
byyyyyyyyeeeee
valerie says:
tell me ur air armpit experience tmr
valerie says:
BYE!

WTH Val -.- if that's the case then maybe I shouldn't wear PE shirt cos'... think of the smell man.
Solution: empty my deodorant. Wait actually not that bad la.

I chose guzheng as my CCA leh. Couldn't decide between band or choir or guzheng.
Performing Arts is definitely for me! I like it.

With no pure science and add maths background, I can only take H1 maths and one H2 science.
H2 lit is crazy.. offered only to the arts stream. I thought of going over to arts but decided to remain in the science stream. Prerequisites for H2 lit? Pass in pure lit or B4 in elec lit!!! I had a 5. Anyway I won't want to study SIX lit texts. A Macbeth is enough to kill.
I barely met the requirements for H2 geog (C6) and bio (B4) and chem (B4).
So my first subject combi choice is H2 Econs, Geog, Bio, H1 Maths.
2nd choice is the same as the first except that bio is changed to chem.
3rd choice is the same as the first except that geog is changed to history.
Yes, history, even though we have no history background in PL. No choice la, I can't qualify for other combinations!

Ok. Worship team has 4 new singers now.
I dunno how I'm feeling about it.
Hmmmm.....
